Device for displaying the quotient of two physical quantities
The invention relates to a device for displaying the quotient indicator
physical quantities, e.g. B. electrical currents in which the damping force, the
acts on the pointer, depends on one of the two quantities. This creates a
Attenuation achieved that is always the same for one and the same deflection angle of the pointer
Has value, however large the z. B. caused by the currents directional forces
like to be. That these directional forces are very different for one and the same deflection angle
can be, follows from the fact that the same quotient by currents of the most varied
Order of magnitude can be formed. The invention can be used, for. B. perform in such a way,
that the rotatable system is damped by eddy currents, which with the help of one of the
two currents forming the quotient are generated.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt. An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing.
16.A pointer 17 is attached to a shaft i which plays over a scale or is used in some other way to indicate or to close electrical contacts. Two coils 2 and 3, which are offset from one another by an angle, are also attached to the shaft i. The coil 2 moves in the field of a stationary coil q. and the coil 3 in the field of a stationary coil 5. I and II are the two currents whose quotient is to be determined. The current I is through the lead 6 of the fixed coil q. forwarded; through the flexible connecting line 7 it enters the movable coil 2 and is diverted at 8. The current II passes through the supply line g into the stationary coil 5, through the flexible line io into the rotatable coil 3; through the. It is fed to the magnet winding 12 on line ii. It is diverted again through line 13. It is known that when the coils are connected in this way, the rotatable system has an equilibrium position which is a clear function of the ratio of the two currents I and II. If both currents are large, they also generate a large directing force, and a large damping force is also required to achieve a certain damping. This is generated by the magnet 13 excited by the coil 12, the lines of force of which the brake disc 1q. enforce, so that the eddy currents generated exert a braking force. If the braking force is to grow linearly with the current, according to the invention, the iron path of the lines of force is so strongly saturated that the flux of the lines of force washes away with the root of the current flowing through the coil 12; because the braking force is proportional to the square of the force flow. The easiest way to achieve the desired dependency with satisfactory accuracy is that the path of the force flow consists of weakly and strongly saturated parts. For this reason the yokes 15 of the power line path are kept weaker than the core 16.
