Description
Process for the production of glass vessels with a neck, in particular ampoules Apart from the manual production, ampoules are manufactured with the help of machines so far only manufactured or prepared that a cut piece of glass tube in the center is drawn out thinly and divided, creating two necked parts that are processed into ampoules. Because the glass tubes are never accurate are round and have the same wall thickness, but the machine, in contrast to manual work, cannot adapt to these irregularities, they fall on the machine drawn tips are extremely irregular, so that the made from them Ampoules for the recently used automatic ones that work with a hollow needle or semi-automatic filling and melting machines are often unusable.
The present invention relates to a method for producing Ampoules and similar glass vessels with necks of 'so great uniformity and Accuracy in shape and wall thickness that the filling and melting of the same on can be carried out by machine without any disruptions.
The method consists in @ that a glass tube fitted for two vessels is melted apart in the middle to form two floors, whereupon by One tool each pushes forward from the inside against the two still plastic floors suitably shaped necks closed at the end are formed, which .by breaking off the tips can be opened. The open ones are then expediently Ends of the glass tubes placed together and together to form two floors and melted apart. The latter happens in one operation with the same Energy expenditure and at the same time as if the floors from a single uninjured Glass tube can be manufactured.
Fig. i zeigt das zur Formung zweier Ampullen dienende Stück Glasrohr. The individual stages of the process are marked in FIGS. Fig. I shows the piece of glass tube used to form two ampoules. Fig.2 shows the two glass tubes created by melting together in the middle, each with one flat bottom. Fig. 3 shows the tools lying in the glass tube. F.ig. 4 shows the pipes pulled over the tools with suitable tips or necks transformed floors. Fig. 5 shows after cutting off the tips with the outer Ends of juxtaposed glass tubes. Fig. 6 shows those after they have been melted together two single ampoules melted at the point of union and provided with bottoms, which are now closed again at the tips by melting if necessary can be.
The method allows loss-free processing of glass tubes corresponding glass vessels as well as precise shaping of the inside of the vessel and offers a suitable base for the machine production of such vessels. :To You can also manufacture the ampoules in individual parts by using your method First create a bottom in exactly the same order, from the inside to the top forms, opens the tip and attaches the final base to the other side.
For the production of a glass vessel with two precisely shaped necks one can omit the last procedure of the procedure described above the process of fusing together the pipe ends that were formerly outwardly projecting end to a tube and receive, then the vessel shown in Fig. 5 with two shaped neck-like ends.
