Description

The invention relates to a method for producing liquids, in particular for hydraulic shock absorbers.

As is known, the effectiveness of a hydraulic shock absorber depends essentially from those resistances, which the passing through small passage cross-sections developed incompressible liquid.

It can be seen from this that, regardless of whether the shock absorber operates with rotating vanes or with a piston, the liquid itself has a significant influence on the effectiveness of the shock absorber.
Castor oil is usually used in shock absorbers of this type because this lubricates the parts that come into contact with it at the same time and also offers certain advantages due to its special viscosity properties. However, the oil has the unpleasant property of creeping out even through the finest crevices. The retention of such a liquid in the shock absorber is therefore a difficult task to be achieved, since any loss of material affects the effectiveness of the shock absorber in a sensitive manner. Furthermore, the oil is subject to oxidation. The present invention overcomes these disadvantages.

According to the invention, namely, as a filling material for shock absorbers, an emulsion of serve oil in water. Another improvement is the use of chemicals to lower the freezing point of this emulsion.

Beispielsweise besteht eine geeignete Flüssigkeit aus folgenden Bestandteilen:For example, a suitable liquid consists of the following components:

Wasser 45,11,Water 45.11,

reines Öl aus Schweinefett.... 11,4I1 pure oil from pork fat .... 11.4I 1

Soda 3,1 kg,Soda 3.1 kg,

Schmierseife 0,9 kg.Soft soap 0.9 kg.

The emulsion is made as follows: Soda and soap are dissolved in water and then the oil is added, whereupon the whole mixture is poured into an emulsifying drum is given.

Ein anderes ebenfalls gut geeignetes Füllmittel wird aus folgenden Bestandteilen hergestellt: Another equally well-suited filler is made from the following ingredients:

Handelsolein 3 bis 5 Teile,Commercial oil 3 to 5 parts,

Methylalkohol 1 Teil,Methyl alcohol 1 part,

Mineralöl 0,885 X9 Teile,Mineral oil 0.885 X 9 parts,

Glyzerin 1 Teil,Glycerine 1 part,

Kaliumhydroxyd 1 Teil, Potassium hydroxide 1 part,

Wasser , 75 Teile.Water, 75 parts.

Olein und Methylalkohol werden zuerst miteinander in kaltem Zustande gemischt undOlein and methyl alcohol are first mixed with each other in the cold state and

The glycerine, potassium hydrate and water are also mixed with one another, expediently in an emulsifying device, and then the first mixture is added and emulsified for 2 hours. A color is added to the mineral oil or emulsion.

An Stelle der oben angegebenen EmulsionInstead of the emulsion given above

ίο können andere Emulsionen Verwendung finden, insbesondere aus anderen ölen, obwohl besonders die zweite Emulsion infolge ihres tiefen Gefrierpunktes vorteilhaft ist.ίο other emulsions can be used, especially from other oils, although especially the second emulsion because of their low freezing point is beneficial.

The main advantage achieved by the new fillers is the ability to to hold them back in the shock absorber by means of stuffing boxes, in contrast to the pure oil, which always strives to crawl out through the finest openings. · In addition, these fillers lubricate the surfaces of moving parts like an automatic lubricant that adhere but not on these parts because they do not wet them, but run off them.

The new fillers are relatively thin and more like water in comparison to the commonly used oil. There can be special ones that lower the freezing point Substances are added after the emulsion has been completed.

The new fillers are used in shock absorbers through the ordinary leather mancases easily retained when used for stuffing boxes.
