Relay circuit to protect parallel AC lines where
the secondary coils of current transformers are connected to form a polygon It is known
to secure parallel alternating current lines against short circuits by using them with
Current transformers are equipped, the secondary coils of which are connected to form a polygon
will. The relays that trigger the switches are located. in connecting lines
between the corner points of the polygon and a common star point.
According to the invention, all cut-off relays are made by: an overcurrent time relay
operated simultaneously when the parallel lines of a fault evenly
to be influenced. This provides protection against short circuits, for example
on the busbars with an extremely low additional expenditure of resources.
Leitungen. Von den Sammelschienen i, i', i" einer Drehstromanlage gehen drei parallele
Drehstromleitungen 2,2', 2", 3, 3'' 3" und 4, 4', 4" ab, die an beiden Enden durch
eine Schutzschaltung gegen innere Fehler, Kurzschluß, Erdschluß -und Leitungsbruch
gesichert sind. Diese Schutzschaltung enthält an jedem Ende zweier Phasen jeder
Leitung Stromwandler, deren Sekundärwicklungen 5; 51, 6, 6' und
7, 7'
17 Leitungen 18, 18', i g, i g', 2o, 2o' gefülut,, die die Relaisspulen 21, 22,
23 enthalten.
Stromwandler abgegezweigten Relais in Tätigkeit treten., also z. B. (vgl. Abb. 2),
wenn die Sekundäxwcklungen 5-5' Strom liefern, die Relais 21
und
5-5' gehört, also die Leitung 2, 2'0 2".
Fig. R shows in a simplified representation, which only reproduces the fundamentally important parts, the known circuit for protecting the same parallel lines. From the busbars i, i ', i "of a three-phase system, three parallel three-phase lines 2, 2', 2", 3, 3 ", 3" and 4, 4 ', 4 "go off, which are connected at both ends by a protective circuit against internal Faults, short circuits, earth faults and line breaks are secured. This protective circuit contains current transformers at each end of two phases of each line, the secondary windings 5; 51, 6, 6 'and 7, 7' are connected to one another. The terminals of the secondary windings on the parallel lines are connected to one another by lines 8 to 13, in which a current flows according to the current difference between the lines to be protected. Fig. 2 shows the whole circuit in the simplest schematic representation. Each pair of counter-connected secondary windings is shown as a single coil 5-5 ', 6-6', 7-7 '. All of these coils are interconnected by lines 8 to 13 to form a closed triangle. With a larger number of lines, it would be a polygon, which is why the circuit has the. Name polygon circuit leads. From the corners 14, 15, 16 of the triangle to a star point 17 lines 18, 18 ', ig, i g', 2o, 2o 'are filled ,, which contain the relay coils 21, 22, 23. Under normal conditions there is full symmetry in the circuit and the relay coils 21, 22, 23 are de-energized. As soon as, as a result of a line fault, the secondary differential current supplied by the associated pair of current transformers .a non-zero variable -receives, the relays branched off on both sides of the current transformers in question will come into action. B. (see Fig. 2), when the secondary windings 5-5 'supply current, the relays 21 and 23. The relay coils now act on double contacts, which are arranged so that when two relays respond, in the example the relay 21 and 23, the line belonging to the intermediate transducer pair with the secondary windings 5-5 'is switched off, i.e. line 2, 2'0 2 ". As a result of a fault in this line, a current flows from point 14 (see Fig i) via the coil 21 to the star point, which is shown in Fig. i by the short-circuited points 17, U ', 17 ", to the coil 23 and from the coil 23 to the point 16 back. The relay armatures 24 and 25 are raised, and a double pair of contacts is activated on each of them, as indicated by the dotted lines. A current of 1 T then flows from the positive pole of a direct current source to supply the relevant trip coil via the trip coil 26 of the line 2, 2 ', 2 ", via the upper pair of contacts on the armature 24, through a line 27 to the lower pair of contacts to the terminal 29, which is located on the armature 25 and from there through a line 28 to the negative terminal of the auxiliary power queue. interrupted remain the trip circuits of the other coil, the electric circuit of the trip coil 30 goes through the interrupted upper contact of the coil 22 and the closed lower contact of the coil 21; the circuit of the trip coil 31 via the closed upper contact of the coil 23 and the open lower contact of the coil 22. A circuit for protection against external faults, preferably in the busbars, is connected to this circuit overcurrent time relay 32, which is fed by a current transformer 33 in one phase of one of the parallel lines ais is the longest of all relays in the circuit shown or in the associated network, so that the activity of this relay cannot interfere with the operation of the circuit described. When an external fault occurs, i.e. with the same overcurrent in all parallel lines to which the circuit described does not respond, the relay is to be activated by the converter 33 and to bring all three trip coils 26, 3o and 3 i into effect at the same time . This is done in that the alternating current coils 21, 22, 23 of the circuit described according to the invention are connected through the relay to an auxiliary power source, namely the direct current source, which was also used to feed the trip coils. The current branch closed by the relay is with one end 34 on the negative pole, with the other, 35, on the closed path of the Dremeckseiten of Fig. 2, lines 8 to 13, which the S: ekundärwi, cklungen 5-5 'etc. the current transformer contains. The current flows at contact closure at relay 32 from the positive pole of the auxiliary power source via points 17 ', 17 and 17 ", all relay coils 21, 22, 23 to points 14, 15, 16, via lines 8 to 13 to the Point 3 5 and via the relay contacts at 32 to 34 back to the negative pole.
