Description
Precious metal sheet for the production of dental work The invention refers to precious metal sheet for the production of dental work and consists in that a platinum sheet with a palladium-alloyed gold sheet - expedient of about twice the thickness - is deposited by welding or the like.
According to the invention, it is therefore proposed to use a rolled out sheet metal To use material, which consists of pure platinum sheet on one side, while the other side is made of palladium alloy gold: both materials are through a welding process so closely connected that they are mechanically cannot be separated. It turned out to be useful, the strength The platinum layer should be about half as strong as the palladium-alloyed gold layer. Because when processing to crowns, bridges, palatal plates and the like, the platinum layer is placed on the face side, is the appearance and resistance the products made with the new material are the same as if they were pure platinum sheet Would have found use. If not during processing or use very strong outer platinum layer is worked away in places, so that the underlying If the palladium-alloyed gold layer comes to light, this changes the external appearance of the crowns, bridges, etc. only insignificantly impaired; because the palladium alloy Gold sheet differs only slightly in its color from the pure - platinum sheet. Finally, because platinum and palladium-alloyed gold are the acids that occur in the mouth to have the same resistance, the invention makes progress achieves that in platinum equivalent internal and external properties of the new material, the production costs can be reduced by about half.
