Den Kuppelhorizont bildet ein Gerippe, dessen Rippen 1 vorteilhaft aus Metallrohren bestehen. Diese Rippen sind der Form einer Kuppel entsprechend an den oberen Enden umgebogen. Erfuidungsgemäß sind die oberen Rippenenden i¹ in einer Lasche 2 drehbar gelagert. Dadurch kann die eine Hälfte der Rippen nach links und 'die andere Hälfte nach rechts, gedreht werden, um den Kuppelhorizont zusammenzuliegen. Die beiden vorderen, dem Publikum zugekehrten Rippen i² hängen aber fest in der Lasche 2 und sind außerdem durch in die Bühnenwand eingesetzte Anker 10 befestigt. An den unteren Enden der Rippen 1 befinden sich an sich bekannte Schubriegel 3, die in den Bühnenboden 4 zur Erzielung eines festen Standes des Gerippes eingreifen. Zur Versteifung der einzelnen Rippen 1 dienen zweiteilige Streben 5, 5¹. Diese sind bei 6 drehbar an den Rippen 1 befestigt. Bei 7 sind beide Teile 5, 5¹ scharnierartig miteinander so verbunden, daß sie aufwärts in ihrem Verbindungspunkt 7 zusammengeknickt werden können, wie in Abb. 4 durch punktierte Linien dargestellt ist. Ein an einer der beiden Teile 5, S¹ jeder Versteifung vorgesehener und auf den anderen Teil sich auflegender Anschlag 8 verhindert das Duirchknicken der Streben 5, 5¹ nach unten, so daß diese Streben immer in die Lage eingestellt werden, in der sie den größten Widerstand gegen selbsttätige Durchknickung bieten. Um das· Durchknicken der Streben 5, 5¹ zwecks Zusammenlegens des Kuppelhorizontes vom' Boden aus vornehmen zu können, sind an den Drehpunkten 7 abwärts hängende Handhebel 9 vorgesehen.
