Description
Method for flushing sheet pile walls. The invention relates to a Method for flushing sheet pile walls. It consists in the pressurized water flushing pipe is inserted between the sheet piles in channels that complement each other Continuous longitudinal grooves of the sheet piles are formed, so that it is used as a bung spring acts, whereby it is comprised of one or more flat iron brackets, which also in deal of the grooves formed channels and anchored in one sheet pile are. In this way, the sheet pile to be driven is always in the correct position brought to the neighboring screed.
In the drawing is an apparatus for performing the new method shown as an embodiment, namely: Fig. r a sheet pile wall, whose Right, outer screed with a pressurized water flushing pipe is not yet complete is rammed in, Fig. z the sheet pile wall in side view, Fig. 3 the foot of the sheet piles on a larger scale and Fig. q. a cross section of the sheet piles. The lower end b executed in a rectangular cross-section and made of concrete, wood or the like Sheet piles a are wedge-shaped in a known manner, so that they are easier in can be rammed into the ground. The two narrow sides of the sheet piles are provided with continuous semicircular grooves that are opened when the Add planks to a channel. Each plank is also inside on one side the groove c is provided with an iron bracket e which engages in the groove d of the other plank. The channel and the inside width of the bracket are so large that a flushing pipe f is passed through can be. This flush pipe f is in the usual way below with a strong, provided with a pointed sieve and get one from the pressure pump at the curved end 'coming hose connection g.
The ramming of the sheet piles and the arrangement and mode of operation of the flushing pipe then proceed in such a way that the sheet pile is initially placed between the guide bars i and secured against lateral deflection by a wedge h. will. It is then driven into the ground by the ram h, the flat iron bracket engaging in the corresponding groove d of the preceding sheet pile and preventing the pile from dodging forwards and backwards. As soon as the resistance in the ground becomes too great, pressurized water can be passed under the wedge-shaped tip b of the sheet pile through the flushing pipe f introduced into the opening c, d and going through the bracket, which loosens the ground at this point in a known manner and so on reduces the resistance. In this way, the sheet pile can then be driven to the prescribed depth without much effort, the flushing pipe acting as a bung spring ensuring that it also assumes the correct position in the ground.
