Deep-sea cables with conductors with uniformly inductive loads. There are
deep-sea cables are already known, their conductors to increase the speed of speech and telegraphing

is made by using suitable alloys and controlled thermal

common alloys in this condition under mechanical loads,
as they occur as a result of the water pressure in the deep sea, changes in their permeability values
and thus experience the self-inductance values, which creates great difficulties,
the cable, which has to be assembled from many manufacturing lengths, is electrical
to make homogeneous.
in welcher bei Verwendung .The invention has a new construction of a uniformly inductively loaded
Deep-sea cable to the subject, in which one with a low permeability of the loading material
and therefore one that is more stable and uniform in electrical terms

is obtained when using gutta-perchaism. To do this, the ladder is used instead

Paper-lead insulation provided. There are already pipes and river cables
known, in which paper is used as an insulating medium. However, the
Laying cables constructed in this way in the deep sea do not meet the requirements
that of cables with a uniformly distributed load by means of a material higher

bekannten Bewehrungsanordnungen benutzt. The structure of the cable according to the invention takes place in the manner
that the conductor provided with the inductive loading material is tightly wrapped with paper
is, whereupon on the wrapped paper layer while avoiding voids in the

Lead jacket is pressed on. As with the eligible
At sea depths the water pressure is so high that the lead coat even at quite
large wall thickness offers no guarantee of absolute tightness, so is according to
According to the further invention, a layer of gutta-percha is pressed over the same. As
thorough examinations have shown that a very thin layer of gutta-percha is sufficient,
to prevent water from entering the inside of the cable through the lead sheath.
Although gutta-percha is expensive in and of itself, it occurs through the use of this
very thin layer does not increase the manufacturing costs, as on the one hand
the use of paper instead of gutta-percha as an insulation material the production
of the cable is cheaper and, on the other hand, the gutta-percha cover saves material
for the lead coat. In addition, they are per se in the case of submarine cables
known reinforcement arrangements are used.
