Fig. 1 is a block diagram of a communications system KS to which an example of a base station BS is connected via connection lines 3, the illustrated 8 VL. The remaining five connecting lines VL lead to further base stations BS, not shown and indicated by dots. The connecting lines VL are guided in the communication system KS to a transmission unit OCTAT arranged in a base station connection module SLMC. In the transmission unit OCTAT, a transmission circuit UP1-UP8 is provided for each incoming connection line VL. Through these transmission circuits UP1-UP8 a UP interface acting according to the time-separated transmission method is realized. The bidirectional information transmission via the UP interface UP is effected by information bursts with a transmission speed of 384 kB / s.
The information received or the information to be sent is included With the help of a multiplex-demultiplex device M to an information mation current of 2048 kB / s combined and sent to an ISDN oriented, internal system bus interface IOM controlled. This system bus interface is similarly reali based, internal ISDN-oriented system bus interface IOM ei ner arranged in the base station connection module SLMC pheries control switched ELIC. The system bus interface IOM is in the ELIC peripheral control on a D-channel control DA realized with the help of the allocation or blocking the signaling channels in the connecting lines VL be will work. The news channels, i. H. the B channels are on switched a switching unit EPIC. In this mediation EPIC is a time slot controlled switching matrix in the implemented. With the help of this switching matrix there are 64 messages 64 kB / s channels can be switched. This means that with help this switching matrix 32 wireless to the base stations BS closed communication terminals KE can be switched bidirectionally are. The switching unit EPIC also has three bi directional PCM-oriented bus interfaces PCM1. . . 3 on where for the first bus interface PCM1 with others, not shown provided facilities of the communication system (KS) connected is. The second and third PCM-oriented bus interface PCM 2, 3 is each with a delta modulation or demodula tion device ADPCM 1, 2 connected, with a delta Modulation and demodulation device ADPCM 1, 2 16 each bidirectional message channels B according to the delta modulation or demodulation processes are editable. With the help of Delta modulation or demodulation device ADPCM 1, 2 are the transmission speeds of the message channels B from 64 kB / s can be reduced to 32 or 16 kB / s, for example. By this measure can increase the number of connecting lines VL between the communication system KS and the base stations BS be significantly reduced.
With the help of the D-channel control DA, those in the D-channels D signaling information contained or to be inserted - e.g. B. in channel 31 of the 64kB / s channels, demultiplexing Bitstream - read or inserted and sent to a signal management control SIS directed or taken over by this. With With the help of the signaling control SIS the signalisie information through an HDLC transmission procedure an interface control SST to other, not shown Controls of the communication system KS transmitted. The Si Signaling channel control DA is in terms of control the signaling and message channels according to the German patent application P 41 41 493.4 trained. Here the signaling channels are temporarily the UP interfaces UP assigned or blocked.
For the exemplary embodiment it is assumed that in the communication tion system (KS) with the help of a, not shown, hochge accurate clock system communication signals kts formed with a frequency of 8 kHz and to the base sta tion connection modules SLMC are distributed. In the base station final module SLMC, the communication system clock signals kts to synchronize the message and signaling information mations processing facilities ELIC, ADPCM 1, 2 used. The communication system clock signals kts are from the switch ELIC unit via the ISDN-oriented internal system bus Interface IOM transmitted to the transmission unit OCTAT - indicated by dashed lines. In the transference unit OCTAT using the communication system clock kts the transmission circuits forming the transmission signals ui UP1. . . 8 synchronized, i. This synchronization can be done, for example, by a digital or analog phase locked loop PR can be effected.
The three connecting lines VL are in the base station BS each to a line connection unit DSAC1. . . 3 led. Everyone this line connection units DSAC1. . . 3 has one according to the Transmission circuit UP1. . . 8 realized transmission circuit UP on, through which a transmission according to the time separation Transmission process is effected. Furthermore, in the Transmission circuits UP from the incoming transmission sinalen ui the transmission clock ut with a frequency of 8kHz derived. This transmission clock ut approximately has the same accuracy and stability as that of the highly exact communication system clock controlled transmission clock ut on.
The transmission circuit UP is an ISDN orien ISDN system that realizes internal system interface IOM oriented interface circuit ISM connected. This ISDN oriented internal system interface IOM points in contrast to the system bus interface IOM in the base station connection module SLMC only two message or B channels and one Signa channel and another system-internal informa tion channel and additionally a clock line for transmission of the transmission clock signals ut. The ISM interface module ISM is also ver with a signaling control SIS bound. With the help of this signaling control SIS Signaling information of the signaling channels or D- Receive or ge channels according to the HDLC transmission method sends and for transmission via a processor interface set up PST and a local bus LB to a controller BST prepares d. H. for transmission to the data, address and Control lines of the local bus LB adapted. This local Bus LB is also with a read memory ROM and one Read-write memory RAM connected. Here are in the write le memory RAM essentially the non-resistant informa tions and in the read-only memory ROM which monitors the base station BS appropriate and coordinating programs.
Die ISDN-orientierten, internen Systemschnittstellen IOME der Leitungsanschlußeinheiten DSAC1 . . The ISDN-oriented, internal system interfaces IOME the Line connection units DSAC1. . .3 are connected to a burst module performed, with the at least one of the three clock lines Transmission clock ut additionally to a system clock generator BTG the base station BS is transmitted - by dashed line Li not shown. In the system clock generator BTG the Sy system clock T for a time slot counter SLC, a frame counter FC and an overframe counter MFC formed. With the help of Time slot counter SLC, the frame counter FC and the Überrah time counter clocks zst, frame clocks and Generated superframe clocks and with these time slots, frames and Frame according to ETS standard 300 175, Digital European Cordless Telecommunication (DECT) formed.
According to the invention, the system clock generator BTG of the base station BS is synchronized with the aid of one of the three highly precise transmission clocks. One of the three transmission clocks ut is selected for the synchronization - z. B. from the Lei line connection unit DSAC 1 - and when it fails or malfunction ut switched to one of the remaining transmission clocks. In order to synchronize the system clocks T formed in the system clock generator BTG with a frequency of 1152 kHz with the highly precise transmission clocks ut with a frequency of 8 kHz, the beginning of every tenth transmission clock ut and the beginning of every third time slot clock zst formed with the help of the time slot counter SLC are used, ie their signal edges are compared in terms of their phase position - see FIG. 2 for this purpose . The system clock generator BTG, which is implemented, for example, by a digital or analog phase-locked loop, is synchronized as a function of the phase comparison results found. On the voltage or clock pulse oscillators used in these phase-locked loops, controlled by impulse insertion or pulse suppression, the requirements regarding accuracy and stability are significantly lower than on clock oscillators, which are not synchronized by high-precision clocks, in the exemplary embodiment the transmission signal averaged. Consequently, the circuitry outlay for the system clock generators BTG to be implemented in the base stations BS can be significantly reduced, taking into account the considerable requirements with regard to accuracy and stability.
With the help of the clocks tv formed in the counters SLC, FC, MFC are processed in a processing unit VEE that is connected to the ISDN oriented, internal system interfaces IOME is connected, the messages or information in the appropriate frame inserted or removed and transmitted to a radio module FM or received by it. Arranged in a in the burst module BM th clock unit TE, which is connected to the system clock generator BTG that is, both additional burst module-internal clocks are generated det, as well as the required clocks according to the DECT standard formed for the radio module FM and transmitted to it.
With the help of the FM radio module, the messages and Signa lization information according to the DECT standard with a Fre frequency of 1800 MHz.
