Die beiden Platten 1 sind parallel nebeneinander aufgehängt. Bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel sind die Flächenstücke 2, die ungefähr die Größe eines DIN A3-Formates aufweisen, an drei Seiten durch eine Trennlinie 6 von der rechteckigen Platte abgetrennt und unter einem Winkel von ungefähr 30° an der Knicklinie 3 aus der Platte herausgeknickt. An ihrer Unterkante sind die Flächenstücke gekröpft 4 um zu verhindern, daß die Auflage abrutscht. Es ist außerdem möglich, eine doppelte Kröpfung vorzunehmen, so daß die aufgelegten Zeitschriften oder Bücher nicht aufklappen können. Die Platte 1 eignet sich besonders zum Auslegen oder Ausstellen von Büchern, Zeitungen, Prospekten etc. auf Messen, in Bibliotheken, Geschäften oder Warteräumen von Arztpraxen um nur einige Beispiele zu nennen. Aus diesem Grund ist bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel oberhalb des obersten herausgeknickten Flächenstückes eine freie Fläche 5 für Werbezwecke belassen. Das Regalelement 1 kann außerdem mit jeder beliebigen Farbe oder unterschiedlich gestalteten Oberflächen versehen sein.
