Dieses Verfahren bietet den Vorteil, daß die Musterung aus demselben Stoff hesteht wie der Querteil selbst, also aus Leder, wodurch eine große Dauerhaftigkeit des Musters gewährleistet ist. Bemalte oder gestickte Querteile dieser Art sind im Gegensatz hierzu starkem Verschleiß unterworfen. Der Querteil wird so gepreßt, daß der Druckstempel auf seine Rückseite einwirkt, so däß das Muster (Blume, Tierstück, Kopf, Landschaft o. dgl.) auf der Vorderseite erhaben erscheint. Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes, und zwar in Abb. i eine Ansicht eines Musters und in Abb. 2 einen Querschnitt des Querteiles. Nach der Pressung des Leders wird auf die Rückseite der Preßstelle eine Mischung von Tischlerleim und Roggenkleister aufgetragen.
