Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for extracting tion of pollutants, especially hydrocarbons, hydrocarbonaceous substances, pentachlorophenols, Dioxins or the like. From contaminated soil in which the contaminated soil is cleaned, cleaned and is used again.
When storing mixtures containing hydrocarbons, for example, oils and fuels can always happen again that by a defect or by Un mindfulness hydrocarbon mixtures into the soil get rich. The same applies to accidents with a tank vehicles that transport oil or fuel in particular animals. Here it can happen that the transport container receives a leak over which the oil or fuel can leak. Here too it cannot be ruled out that hydrocarbon-containing mixtures get into the soil and contaminate the same. The decontamination of a sol Chen soil mainly takes place in such a way that the Soiled in the contaminated area transported and in a special, elaborate, sta tional system is cleaned. Because of that however, this effort usually depends on cleaning seen and the contaminated soil in a landfill stored. On the one hand, landfill spaces are extreme scarce and partly crowded. The ID card Finding new landfill spaces is time consuming and high Requirements connected.
Within the framework of the recycling regulation, konta mined soil only under the group waste if it is no longer recyclable and reusable. Each the producer of waste, this also applies to contaminants soiled soil, must therefore first check whether the fallen waste is not reused can be.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a Ver drive to decontaminate contaminated with pollutants show soil that does not have a high investment effort required, few auxiliaries needed and on On the spot - without any transport costs - can be carried out.
To solve this problem, according to the invention a method of the type described above suggest that the excavated soil initially on a Grain size less than about 10 mm sieved and given is reduced to this grain size, that from that sieved soil with a liquid surfactant Homogenizes the material and thus the pollutants evenly be distributed in the soil that the homogeneous earth richly added and a liquid extractant finally from the resulting mushy mixture of the rivers sige component is at least largely removed.
Such a process requires little investment effort, as a plant to carry out the process can consist of simple components. The Plant placed near the contaminated soil the, so that no special transport costs are incurred. For Implementation of the procedure is little and biological degradable auxiliaries required.
Further features of a method according to the invention are disclosed in claims 2-16.
The invention is based on one in one Drawing shown in a simplified manner Example explained.
In this drawing, a sieve container 1 is first shown, in which the excavated and contaminated soil be filled and sieved. Larger foreign parts, for example parts made of wood, metal, plastic, cork and the like, had previously been sorted out from the soil to be treated. The sieves of this sieve container advantageously have a mesh size of about 10 mm, so that the grain size of the sieved soil is equal to or less than 10 mm. Larger grain of the soil is laterally withdrawn from the sieve container 1 and passed, for example, over a crusher 2 by reducing it to the required grain size and feeding it back to the sieve container 1 .
The soil that has been screened and freed of foreign parts is then fed to a drum-like mixing container 3 , which can be designed in the manner of the mixing drum of a ready-mixed concrete mixer. In addition to the actual mixing spiral, this rotating mixing container also contains welded-in blades through which the soil is first transported upwards and then thrown off. In this mixing container 3 , the contaminated soil, including metals dissolved therein, is homogenized, where about 5-6% by weight of a liquid coconut fatty alcohol of the group C5 to C18 are added to the soil. Coconut fatty alcohols of groups C5 to C18 are surface-active substances which have the property of homogenizing the pollutants in the ground, in particular hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon-containing substances, but also pentachlorophenols, dioxins or the like, but also the metals dissolved in the ground that a uniform distribution of the pollutants and the dissolved metals in the mixing container 1 is achieved. If necessary, up to 5% of water can also be added to this homogenized mixture, so that a pulpy mass is ensured.
After this homogenization, about 10 to 15 percent by weight of a liquid extractant, for example "Extranol", is added to the soil, which is biodegradable and consists of a moisture-binding liquid and a granulate absorbing the moisture in the manner of blotting paper. In addition, the extractant can also be used with a dye. The addition of the dye offers the possibility that the homogenization of the Erdrei ches is optically well recognizable. The pollutants in the soil are extracted by the added extractant and absorbed by the liquid extractant. By the resulting in the drum-like Mischbehäl ter 3 friction of the soil particles located in the bottom area this process is supported, so that one can speak of a kind of floor washing, the mixture being present as a pulpy mass.
This pasty mixture is then passed into a wide drum-like container 4 , which is designed in the manner of a sieve drum or a filter. As far as possible, the liquid phase of the soil mixture is separated here. The remaining mass or soil is still a little mushy, but has a much firmer consistency. This mass in container 4 are now 1.0 to 1.5 percent by weight of a starch, for example potato glue, beet glue, starch powder or sugar, and 3.0 to 6.0 percent by weight of a swelling agent. A fire-retardant made of diatomaceous earth, for example "HAUTEX 400", has proven to be advantageous, which is a completely integrated polymer and has an extremely high swelling effect. Bentonites can also be used as swelling agents.
This swelling agent now also absorbs water from the still pulpy soil, whereby the color pigments contained therein completely disappear. This means that the soil leaves the container 4 almost dry. The soil leaving the container 4 is then passed through a hot air chamber 5 , in which free residual water and the moisture in the soil evaporate most. The swelling agent also loses moisture, so that the pollutants in the swelling agent also dry themselves.
From the hot air chamber 5 , the dry soil, still permeated with swelling agent, now reaches a blower 6 , in which the light swelling agent is separated from the soil. The now dry and pollutant-free soil is removed from the bottom of the blower 6 , while the swelling agent is removed since Lich. The swelling agent, which now contains all pollutants and is derived from the blower 6 , is passed through a drying unit in which it shrinks back to about 5% of the original volume. This swelling agent can be mixed with concrete and stored in a landfill. The water vapor generated during this drying contains very little pollutants; it is passed over at least one water separator and then cleaned in an activated carbon filter.
The decontaminated soil can now be used in the usual way can be used again. However, this is only possible if properly determined by appropriate inspection was that the decontamination was flawless fen is. However, it is advantageous to use this cleaned earth rich again to mix with a starch. This soil is then suitable to be used in conjunction with other fillers, such as gravel, sand or grit, as Zu impact material for concrete or bituminous coverings to be put. Be through the cement or bitumen any residual pollutants still present in the soil envelops, so that they no longer by normal environmental influences can be eluted.
