Auf diese Weise werden die Laufrolle 3 und ihre La gerung ausreichend geschmiert und gekühlt, was bei hochbelasteten Kraftstoffeinspritzpumpen von großer Bedeutung für deren Lebensdauer ist. Dabei erlaubt die einfache Gestaltung des Rollenstößels, der nur eine Radialbohrung aufweist und keine Axialbohrung benötigt, eine einfache, kostengünstige Fertigung und zusätzlich ein geringes Baugewicht.
