Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Bariumchlorid aus Bariumsulfid unter gleichzeitiger Gewinnung von Alkalisulfhydrat. Die Darstellung von Bariumchlorid aus Bariumsulfhydratlüugen durch Umsetzung mit Alkalichlorid und unter gleichzeitiger Bildung von Alkalisulfhydrat ist bekannt. Indessen erweist sich die technische Ausführung der auf diesem Vorgang beruhenden Verfahren als umständlich und kostspielig, vor allem, weil es nicht möglich ist, die Umsetzung unmittelbar in der durch Laugen vonBariumsulfid entstehendenL ösung Vorzunehmen. Bekanntlich enthalten solche Lösungen neben Bariumsulfhydrat auch Bariumhydroxyd, das zunächst entfernt werden muß, bevor die im Vakuum konzentrierte, verbleibende Bariumsulfhydratlösung mit Alkalichloriden umgesetzt werden kann. Auch der Vorschlag, die Abscheidung des Bariumhydroxyds zu vermeiden und unmittelbar zu konzentrierten Bariumsuffhydratlösungen zu gelangen, indem das Laugen des Bariumsulfids unter Einleitung von Schwefelwasserstoff vorgenommen wird, konnte nicht befriedigen, weil dieses Verfahren die getrennte Herstellung von Schwefelwasserstoff und eine umständliche Handhabung dieses giftigen Gases erfordert.Process for the production of barium chloride from barium sulfide under simultaneous production of alkali sulfhydrate. Durch Zusatz von Alkalichlorid zu der so erhaltenen Lösung wird das darin enthaltene 13ariumsulfhvdrat zu Bariumchlorid und Al-I:alisulfhydrat umgesetzt und weiterhin das gesamte vorhandene Bariumchlorid ausgesalzt.
