Nach dem unter No. 29564 patentirten Verfahren wird behufs Klärung von Flüssigkeiten, welche Stickstoff und andere Substanzen enthalten, sowie behufs Gewinnung der in solchen Flüssigkeiten befindlichen Düngerbestandtheile ein Gemenge von gebranntem Kalk mit Pflanzenfaserbrei hergestellt, in welchem die Pflanzenfaser durch die Einwirkung des Aetzkalkes in einen aufgeschlossenen Zustand gebracht und so in die Lage versetzt wird, die Bildung eines compacten, sich fast augenblicklich absetzenden Niederschlages zu bewirken. Vorliegende Erfindung hat nun den Zweck, die Pflanzenfaser (Cellulose, Torf, Mist, Papierabfälle u. dergl.) nicht durch gebrannten Kalk, sondern durch starke Säuren, z. B: Schwefelsäure, Salzsäure, Phosphorsäure, Kieselfluorwasserstoffsäure aufzuschliefsen und so zur Bildung eines compacten, sich fast augenblicklich absetzenden Niederschlages geeignet zu machen. Durch die Benutzung einer so mit Säuren aufgeschlossenen Pflanzenfasermasse werden stickstoffhaltige Substanzen ausgefällt, welche durch das im Haupt-Patent No. 29564 geschützte Fällungsmittel nicht ausgeschieden werden. Diese Benutzung kann stattfinden neben einem vorhergehenden oder nachfolgenden Zusatz von Kalkmilch. Behufs gleichzeitiger Beseitigung der bei dem Vorgang der Düngergewinnung auftretenden, belästigenden, übelriechenden Stoffe und Erscheinungen (Skatol. Indol u. dergl.) erfolgen entsprechend dem obwaltenden Erfordernifs Zusätze von Oxydations- oder Reductionsmitteln, z. B. übermangansaures Kali, Wasserstoffsuperoxyd, Brom, Chlor, unterchlorige Säure und deren Salze oder schweflige Säure, unterschweflige Säure und deren Salze.
