Abstract

A turbine of similar construction as the Pelton wheel of a water turbine is magnetically impelled by either a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. The magnet assembly is provided with an upper and lower beam which function as pole pieces to attract and repel the tooth-shaped elements of the turbine rotor and thus drive a generator via suitable transmission gearing.
