In Abb. 85 P at en τ- An Sprüche:Upsetting device for holding and upsetting the workpieces of spot welding machines to move. The armature is used in welding machines to drive moving parts of any type for any purpose, which has hitherto usually been done by hand, with the foot or by other mechanical means. In the drawing, a welding machine according to the invention is shown in a vertical section in Fig. Ι; Fig. 2 is a cross section along the line A-A of Fig. Ι; Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment in vertical section. In all figures, α denotes the iron core of the transformer made of sheet metal, b the loose part of the transformer iron core, i.e. the armature, c the primary winding, d the secondary winding, which is partly formed by the machine frame, partly by a central round shaft and partly by the electrode levers and represents a single turn, e an extension of the armature for the purpose of guidance, f the rear support lever, g its bearing. In Fig. Ι the front end of the arm e is guided by a rocker arm i; k, I, in are the electrodes with their support arms, η is the machine frame, 0 a coupling rod between the rear support lever f designed as an angle lever and the movable electrode lever k, p a compression spring to regulate the electrode pressure, r the switch. to close the circuit. In Fig. 3, the front guide lever i has been replaced by the prism guide ti; the workpieces serve as electrodes and are mounted in extensions s and t, the latter of which can be moved in a prismatic guide. The shift is in turn caused by a rod 0 and compression spring ρ, but the rear support lever f is designed as a one-armed lever and is extended vertically upwards. Fig. 1 and 2 represent a so-called spot welding machine, Fig. 3 a butt or face welding machine. The operation of both machines is essentially the same. If the switch r is closed, the armature b is attracted and at the same time the secondary current is induced in the turn d according to the dash-dotted line. The anchor b, e is guided in parallel by the supports f, i or the support f and the guide ii, with a minimum of friction. The described rod of both machines transfers the movement! movement of the armature onto the electrode or the workpieces to be welded and presses them with pressure that can be regulated by the spring ρ! at. The guide of the armature b could also be designed as a prism guide like a support guide i, but then the advantage that the embodiment described has, namely: low space requirement, cheapness, reduction of friction, would be lost. I In order to give the secondary winding the necessary strength, as Fig. I shows, a stiffening screw connection can be attached at q. But then the lower and upper part must be isolated from each other, as indicated in the drawing. Finally it is important that the armature b is guided by the lever f near its center of gravity. This relieves the front guide e; the relief can be taken so far that the guide roller in the slide U1 Fig. 3 can be dispensed with. The spring ρ can of course be adjustable. 85 P at en τ- To Proverbs:
