Man erreicht ferner dadurch, daß z. B. die Reduktion von oxydischen Zinkverbindungen innerhalb des Flammbogens vollständig erfolgt und entsprechend der hohen Temperatur trotzdem ein verhältnismäßig \venig reaktionsfähiges Gas verwendet werden kann.
