Description

Process for gilding artificial stones. Making a Gilding with leaf metal, bronze or paints on wood, plaster, etc. is known. Gilding on insufficiently set cement, glazed concrete or artificial stone, which alkalis sweat out have not been durable up to now. Were the alkalis in the Cement, artificial stone, concrete or cold glazes have not yet sufficiently bonded, so it was The oily base is destroyed again by the alkaline perspiration, and the gold leaf dissolved away again. In contrast, a cold glaze with a compound of formaldehyde and carbolic acid, aniline and formaldehyde or another alkali-resistant synthetic resin solution soaked or coated, gold leaf, bronze, also paints, wool dust etc. apply with or without an oil primer, possibly also bake in. A cold glaze, which are produced in a known manner by applying, dusting or spraying is obtained by synthetic resins such as formaldehyde and carbolic acid compounds, possibly by heating an alkali-proof bare or by adding natural resins, Fats, oils or hydrocarbons have a matt surface. On surfaces treated in this way can be applied when moist or after drying with synthetic resin or an oil primer (made of copal or linseed oil), gold leaf, bronze, colors also wool dust, minerals, etc. Apply durable, possibly with stencils or stamps. Gold as well as colors can baked in with synthetic resin solutions.
