Description
Verfahren zur Vergolldung von Kunststeinen. Die Herstellung einer Vergoldung durch Blattmetall, Bronze oder Farben auf Holz, Gips usw. ist bekannt. Vergoldungen auf ungenügend abgebundenem Zement, glasiertem Beton oder Kunststeinen, welche Alkalien ausschwitzen, waren bisher nicht haltbar. Waren die Alkalien im Zement, Kunststein, Beton oder Kaltglasuren noch nicht genügend gebunden, so wurde durch ausschwitzende Alkalien der ölgrund wieder vernichtet, und das Blattgold löste sich wieder ab. Wird dagegen eine Kaltglasur mit einer Verbindung von Formaldehyd und Karbolsäure, Anilin und Formaldehyd oder sonst einer alkalienfesten Kunstharzlösung getränkt oder überzogen, so läßt sich Blattgold, Bronze, auch Farben, Wollstaub usw. mit oder ohne Ölgrund haltbar auftragen, evtl. auch einbrennen. Eine Kaltglasur, welche in bekannter Weise durch Auftragen, Aufstauben oder Aufspritzen hergestellt wird, erhält durch Kunstharze, wie Formaldehyd und Karbolsäureverbindungen, evtl. durch Erhitzen eine alkalienfeste blanke oder durch Zusätze von natürlichen Harzen, Fetten, ölen oder Kohlenwasserstoffen eine matte Oberfläche. Auf so behandelte Flächen läßt sich im feuchten Zustande oder nach dem Trocknen mit Kunstharz oder ölgrund (aus Kopal oder Leinöl), Blattgold, Bronze, Farben auch Wollstaub, Mineralien usw. haltbar, evtl. mit Schablonen oder Stempel, aufbringen.
