Description
Procedure for securing high-voltage lines against flashovers. Become two conductors charged with electricity of different signs and rounded Surface is placed opposite each other and the tension is up to rollover increased, one observes that the cause of the spark discharge is always the positive one Head there. If the positively charged conductor is provided with tips or edges, so there is no more sparkover, but the electricity sprays out of the negative Head over to positive without arcing. You can therefore have a sparkover on high-voltage lines prevent one pole from being connected to the endangered one Make tnit points or edges, which also when using alternating current a reduction in the risk of rollover is achieved. This per se known method but has the disadvantage that the negative emissions result in considerable losses enter.
The invention now relates to a new method, the risk of rollover between high voltage lines without the losses outlined above occur due to negative spray discharges.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the size of the positive voltage amplitude of the alternating current used for power transmission is reduced compared to the negative one, that is to say in that the positive part of the voltage curve is flattened. This has the effect that the tendency to spark formation because of the: - low positive voltage is considerably reduced, without the use of points or edges. The consequence of this is that the negative radiation phenomena can also be considerably reduced and thus great savings in electrical energy can be achieved.
Reducing the size of the positive voltage amplitude can result in take place in different ways, e.g. B. according to the invention the alternating current can be a direct current are superimposed in the sense that the negative voltage amplitude opposite the positive is enlarged. Furthermore, according to the invention, a generator with unevenly shaped poles are used, which means that the zero line of the Alternating current. Furthermore, according to the invention, the power transmission Transformers to be used anyway are magnetized by direct current obtain. Finally, the alternating current can also be influenced in another way take place according to the invention.
