Abstract
Description
An spruchs 1.The invention relates to an electrically heated, flexi ble and transparent pane, especially for the rear Cabriolet windows, according to the preamble of An saying 1.
Rear windows for convertibles are already known are made of plastic and are electrically heated are. With these rear windows, however, the power supply takes place guidance over woven heating grids made of thin metallic Wires. These windows have the disadvantage that the heating lattice relatively difficult to manufacture and difficult to assemble animals are. Furthermore, the heating grids affect the See-through area.
The object of the invention is to provide an electrically heatable flexible and transparent pane to create this Avoids disadvantages.
This object is inventively in a genus moderate disc by the characteristics of the characteristic Part of claim 1 solved.
The application of an electrically conductive layer of a metal oxide to a transparent, flexible polymer film makes it possible to produce a composite structure. Indium oxide can preferably be used as the metal oxide. The indium oxide can be applied to the respective polymer film in a vacuum process, for example a plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition process. The metal oxide layer is applied so thinly on the polymer film that the layer is transparent. For example, the thickness of the metal oxide layer is 2 to 4 μm, in particular 3 μm. Suitable polymer films are, for example, polyethylene terephthalate (PETP), polyvinyl butyrad (PVB), polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or other suitable substrate materials. The heatable, electrically conductive metal oxide layer is preferably formed between two plastic films or two plastic layers. To increase the scratch resistance, the film composite outer surfaces can be provided with scratch-resistant paint systems. Such a paint system is known for example from EP-A 02 67 376. In one embodiment, this lacquer can consist of SiO 2 . Due to the large-scale formation of the electrically conductive layer over the entire area of the rear window, an increased defrosting speed is possible. Due to the low surface resistance of the electrically conductive metal oxide layer, there is a shorter response time until the start of defrosting of an icy pane. The defrosting process itself takes place over a large area and evenly.
Dabei zei gen: Embodiments of the invention are described below the drawings described by way of example. Here zei gene:

Fig. 3 is a top view of an electrically heatable, flexible and transparent pane.
In Fig. 1, the layer structure 2 of an electrically heatable, flexible and transparent disc 1 is shown ge. The two opposite, outer layers 3 and 4 are scratch-resistant layers with a low elongation at break. The layers can consist, for example, of SiO 2 , as described in EP-A 02 67 376. A PVC layer 5 , to which a PU adhesive 6 is applied, adjoins the upper layer 3 . On a polymer film 7 , which in the present embodiment is made of PET, a metal oxide layer 8 is applied in a thickness between 2 and 4 μm, preferably 3 μm. All electrically conductive materials are suitable as metal oxides. Indium oxide is preferably used. The polymer film 7 provided with the metal oxide layer 8 is connected to the PVC layer 5 via the adhesive layer 6 . On the other side of the polymer film 7 , the scratch-resistant lower layer 4 is applied.
The metal oxide layer 8 is applied in a vacuum process. A known method for this is the plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition method (P-CVD).
In FIG. 2, a further layer structure is shown 9 of an electrically heated, flexible and transparent pane, which differs from the gezeig th in the Fig. 1 embodiment in that on the upper, scratch resistant layer 3, a PET film 10 at closes. PET is also provided as the polymer film 11 . The connection between the two layers 10 and 11 is made by a PVB adhesive film 12 . The applied to the lower PET film metal oxide layer 13 is preferably, as in the embodiment of FIG. 1, made of indium oxide. A scratch-resistant layer 4 is optionally connected to the polymer film 11 provided with the metal oxide layer 13 .
In Fig. 3, a trapezoidal rear window 14 egg nes convertible is shown. The layer structure 2 , 9 of the pane, which consists of the individual layers, extends over the entire pane surface. For power supply, power supply threads or tapes 15 and 16 are introduced at the top and bottom of the rear window 14 into the layer structure. In another embodiment, the power supply takes place on the two side edges via suitable threads or tapes.
