Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Construction von Schirmgestellen, bei welcher die äufseren Enden der Rippen beim Zumachen des Schirmes sich gegen die Stockspitze zu an den Schirmstock anlegen.The present invention relates to a construction of umbrella frames in which the outer ends of the ribs towards the tip of the stick when closing the umbrella put on the umbrella stick.

An dem Schirmstock α ist eine Krone b gebräuchlicher Art befestigt, mit welcher die inneren Enden der Rippen c auf gewöhnliche Weise verbunden sind. Der Stock ist auch mit einer gleitenden Krone b^l der gebräuchlichen Art versehen, an welcher die inneren Enden der Streben d in bekannter Weise befestigt sind. Jede Rippe besteht aus zwei Theilen, einem inneren Theil c und einem äufseren Theil c\ welche ungefähr in der Mitte der ganzen Rippe bei c² drehbar mit einander verbunden sind. Der innere Rippentheil oder Arm c wird vortheilhaft aus Hohlschienen, wie solche unter der Bezeichnung »Paragon-Schienen« bekannt sind, hergestellt, während der äufsere Theil oder Arm c¹ aus cylindrischen oder anderen massiven Drahtstäbchen bestehen kann. Die Arme c¹ sind über die Drehpunkte c² hinaus verlängert, und an diesen Verlängerungen c³ sind die äufseren Enden der Streben d befestigt. Beim Schliefsen des Schirmes fällt der Ring gegen den Griff zurück, und wenn man den Schirm nach abwärts neigt, gleitet er an der Aufsenseite des Stoffes herab und umschliefst den zusammengefalteten Stoff. Wenn der Schirm als Stütze oder Spazierstock verwendet werden soll und es erwünscht ist, dafs zwischen den Spitzen der Rippen und dem Boden ein gröfserer freier Raum bleibt, kann man die Krone b derart an dem Schirmstock anbringen, dafs sie auf demselben nicht festsitzt, sondern während des Schliefsens des Schirmes gegen den Griff hin verschoben werden kann. In diesem Falle bringt man die Feder, welche in die gleitende Krone oder den Schieber b^l einspringt, dem Griffe etwas näher an.
