Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for mining of organic pollutants in contaminated material Help of lignin-degrading microorganisms. It is suitable especially for decontamination of solid and liquid Materials.
In DE-OS 37 31 816, a process for degradation is difficult degradable aromatics in contaminated soil or landfill substances described in the case of the non-soil lignin degrading White rot fungi with predominantly hemicellulose-containing waste fabrics such as B. straw, which is a pressure and temperature have undergone treatment, mixed and received mixture into the contaminated soil or landfill is introduced. In this method, a pressure and / or Heat treatment required for the straw.
The degradation of organic pollutants using ligninab building microorganisms in an aqueous medium with addition of carbohydrates is known from EP 1 92 237. As Carbohydrates are lignin, cellulose, paper, wood chips, Called sawdust or humus.
In the magazine "Wasser, Luft und Betrieb", 1-2 / 87, Pages 47 to 48 are used to break down aromatics in floors with white rot fungi, additions of straw, or other high cellulose products, such as saw chips, or waste from food processing described.
The expert takes from these documents that white rot mushrooms as a carbon source substances with high lignin or Cellulose content required because lignin-degrading microorganism nisms as typical wood decomposers compel. The use of potato pulp with a high Starch, protein and pectin content is thereby not suggested.
The object of the present invention is a simpler one To create decontamination procedures that are more widely used bar and does not require any pretreatment of the substrate.
This task is solved by a procedure according to Characteristic of the main claim. Give the subclaims preferred embodiments of the invention again.
The method according to the invention is suitable for the degradation of organic pollutants in solid and liquid materials, for example in soil, mud, silt, sediments and the like, but also in liquids such as ground water, standing or flowing water, solutions in inorganic or organic solvents. Since it is un depending on the phase quality liquid or solid can be used, its field of application is practical not limited.
The material to be decontaminated is liquid or dried potato pulp mixed so that the whole extracellular water content is 20 to 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the mixture. Preferably be the total extracellular water content is 30 to 80 % By weight, particularly preferably 30 to 60% by weight, in particular 30 to 50 wt .-% and very particularly 30 to 45 wt .-%. The potato pulp can be used in liquid form, for example in a form as used in production of potato starch. Will be a dried pulp set, it has proven to be useful, potato to add amniotic fluid, which is also during production of potato starch.
The weight ratio of to be decontaminated Material for potato pulp should be 1: 0.01 to 1:10 amount, preferably 1: 0.1 to 1: 1, based on water free substance.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention The mixture is a lignin, lignocellulosic and / or cellulose-containing material added. Thereby will degrade the growth and activity of lignin the microorganisms in general considerably increased addition, results from the admixture in space mean a loosening of the structure and thus one better ventilation of the mixture.
Wood is preferably added to the mixture, for example in the form of wood flour or wood chips. Especially with too decontaminating solids, such as floors or landfill materials is an advantageous catch tion and increased growth of the microorganisms reached. It has been shown that the addition of substances containing lignin, lignocellulose or cellulose, especially wood chips, has a crumb structure Lich, with which the inventive method is special is advantageously executable.
The lignocellulosic and / or cellulosic ones Fabrics, especially wood flour or wood chips, are used partial in amounts up to 1.2 times the weight of total extracellular water content added. A higher one Dosage is generally not necessary and leads to an unnecessary dilution of the mixed with potato pulp materials to be decontaminated. Preferably, the Addition in an amount by weight 0.1 to 1.0 times of the total extracellular water content of the mixture corresponds to decontaminating material and potato pulp.

It has been shown that the addition of potato pulp to materials caused by lignin-degrading microorganisms are decontaminable, the decontamination effect of Microorganisms can be improved significantly. this applies especially for systems that use lignin, lignocellulose and / or contain cellulosic additives, with wood flour or Wood chips are particularly preferred as an additive.
The method according to the invention is suitable for breaking down almost all organic pollutants, both aromatic and aliphatic pollutants. Aromatic pollutants include monocyclic and polycyclic aromatics, especially those with highly condensed systems. As aliphatic pollutants include aliphatic carbons in liquid or solid form, e.g. B. with 6 or more carbon atoms. The compounds mentioned can also be substituted, for example by N- or O-substituents or the like, ie alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, acids, nitrogen-containing substituents, such as amines, amides, NO x . Furthermore, the pollutants can also be polymeric in nature, e.g. B. synthetic, semisynthetic or natural polymers such as plastics, waste, e.g. B. of textile fabrics, such as cotton, silk, rayon.
Halogen-containing pollutants are caused by the invention Process not or only reduced in insignificant quantities, therefore the process is not suitable for halogen-containing ones Hydrocarbons or halogen polymers, e.g. B. Polyvinyl chloride. Apart from this limitation, this is invented process according to the invention but can be used almost universally for the breakdown of organic pollutants.
It can also be used for the decontamination of Material that is contaminated with pollutants, i.e. for example of contaminated soil, sludge, silt, Sediments or pollutants on Trä like tissues or metals. You can if necessary, the contaminated substances themselves with abge be built, provided they fall into the above groups of breakdown capable organic substances.
