Es sind Tabakpfeifenköpfe bekannt, bei denen eine besondere Frischluftzuführung durch in der Pfeifenkopfwandung liegende und in verschiedener Höhe in das Kopfinnere mündende Kanäle geschieht. Ferner ist es bekannt, die Absperrung der in gleicher Höhe in das Kopf innere mündendenLuftzuführungskanäle durch einzelne Ringschieber zu bewirken. Zu diesem Zwecke sind so viel Schieber erforderlich, wie in verschiedener Höhe in das Kopfinnere mündende Kanäle vorhanden sind. Beim Rauchen solcher Pfeifen muß . daher jeder Schieber besonders eingestellt werden. Durch die Anbringung mehrerer Schieber an der Außenseite des Pfeifen'kopfes wird aber die Herstellung verteuert und erschwert.
