Diese können, ähnlich wie Kieselgur, Fullererde u. dgl., zur Adsorption von Farbstoffen, zum Klären und Filtrieren von Laugen aller Art, ferner aber auch zur Herstellung von Wärmeisolationsmassen, wie Schutzüberzüge von Dampfkesseln und Dampfleitungeu, verwendet werden.
