of textile materials and fabrics made from them. The subject of the invention
forms a method and a device for determining the elastic properties
of textile materials such as cotton, wool, rubber, etc. and those made from them
Fabrics.
According to the invention, a measured amount of fabric becomes gradually
exposed to an all-round pressure, with progressive reduction in volume
the sample is determined according to the increasing pressure. During the subsequent,
Gradual relief takes place the same festivals: ellungen.
In the drawing is an embodiment of a device for performing i
of the.S procedure.
Wolle, dient der aus elastischem Material, z. B. Kautschuk, bestehende Kolben a,
To receive a sample of the textile material to be tested, e.g. B. wool, is made of elastic material such. B. rubber, existing piston a, which is attached airtight to the capillary b. This is melted in the chamber c, which can be evacuated by means of the pipe d. So that the piston a can be inserted and removed, the chamber c is made of two parts joined together by means of a joint or an airtight screw connection. A line e branches off from the tube d and leads to the nozzle f, to which the capillary b is also connected. The two pressure gauges g and h are used to determine the pressure values that occur inside or outside the piston a.
An Stelle
If the elastic behavior of textile materials is to be determined, then; a certain amount of the material accommodated in the flask a, this is placed on the end of the capillary b and the chamber c is closed. The piston a and the chamber c are evacuated from f. The capillary b is then closed behind the manometer g and, after the line e has been switched off by the three-way valve i and the valve k, air is gradually or intermittently admitted into the chamber c. Amount and pressure of the], uft to be admitted depends on the elasticity of the material to be examined which is accommodated in the piston a. In the case of elasticities of more than r atmosphere, for example in the case of heavily stuffed wads or very dense materials such as rubber, compressed air may have to be introduced into chamber e. The pressure that arises in chamber c is read from manometer h. The reduction in volume of the piston a causes a pressure change in the capillary line b, which is read on the = manometer g. If the pressure increase has progressed sufficiently, the air or compressed air supply is cut off from line e by changing the existing cocks and chamber e! again evacuated, with the respective prevailing pressure differences being read off again on the pressure gauges g and h. If the results are plotted as coordinates, two curves are obtained, the course of which gives a clear picture of the elastic behavior of the textile material being examined and from whose shape, taking into account the volume and pressure conditions in the measuring chambers, the! can calculate effective material elasticities. Instead of air, other gases or liquids can also be used.
