Abstract

The adhesion control circuit is used to increase the adhesion between the types of road vehicle, e.g.a tractor/trailer combination, during braking or acceleration, by controlled variation of the vehicle tyre pressure. The front and rear tyre perssures are monitored via press sensors coupled to a microprocsesor responding to the vehicle travel parameters to allow selective inflation or deflation of the tyres using controlled magnetic valves. ADVANTAGE - Allows required braking distance for vehicle to be reduced by between 22 and 23 per cent by using controlled deflation of vehicle tyres dependent on applied braking force.

Description

The device is used to increase tire grip through pressure regulation, especially in extreme situations and for - up Blow from the spare tire (space-saving accommodation). It consists of a pressure vessel with inlet pressure and off let valve and a manometer. The tire is replaced by a special rim (known from the aircraft) via a line that is attached to the chassis and with a line that is connected to the Ka body is attached (connection via a hose) under Pressure kept. This pressure is measured by two pressure sensors (front wheels / rear wheels) measured and sent to the computer reported. This or manually via a switch provides the solenoid veins tile accordingly. If the brakes are applied hard, the brake linkage is released a valve detects a drop in pressure. This is from the computer gulated, corrected, regulated.

The braking distance is reduced by 22-23% on dry roads (proven by tests), at

  • -1 bar.-1 bar.

The state of the road is mapped to the computer using sensors det. This decides and regulates the tire air pressure.
