Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren der im Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1 angegebenen Art.The invention relates to a method in the preamble of claim 1 specified Art.
Low-temperature wind tunnels (cryogenized wind tunnels) are in contrast to conventional wind tunnels Operating temperatures in the range of 100 K to 300 K. This very low and wide temperature range poses special requirements for strength, toughness and the expansion behavior of the materia used lien. Models in such low-temperature wind channels must be tested from very special Materials exist. As material for wind tunnel models has high-alloyed nickel steel with the material number 1.6359 proven.
Im einzelnen werden an den Füllstoff der Bohrungen folgende Anforderungen gestellt:Aircraft wind tunnel models consist of several assemblies or individual parts that are screwed together to form the overall model. The screw holes remaining after assembly must be closed and the outer contour of the aircraft model must be adjusted. In order to be able to simulate the same Reynolds number effects in the model test as in the large version, a high surface quality, ie a low surface roughness, is required. At a Reynolds number of Re = 8.5 X 10 6 a permissible roughness results of permissible k ≦ 5.8 × 10. 6 In order to obtain such a low surface roughness, the model surface is polished. The filler for the holes must also be machinable so that it meets this tolerance requirement. The following requirements are placed on the filler of the holes:
- - ausreichende Zähigkeit auch bei tiefen Tempe raturen- sufficient toughness even at low temperatures fittings
- - gute Adhäsion an der Modelloberfläche- good adhesion to the model surface
- - hohe herstellbare Oberflächenqualität- high producible surface quality
- - schnelle Verarbeitungsmöglichkeit und Aus härtung- Fast processing and off hardening
- - leichtes Entfernen nach dem Test.- easy removal after the test.
In practice, the fastening holes are filled with a two-component adhesive made of epoxy resin. This Filling material remains elastic during cooling, cannot be processed after processing Process mechanically by grinding, polishing, etc. This ensures compliance with the contour and the required maximum roughness on the aircraft model guaranteed.
The invention has for its object a method the specified in the preamble of claim 1 Art to create that even in the low temperature range to 100 K ensure a gap-free closure of the hole performs and which produces a high surface quality bar, which is also in the entire temperature range preserved.
This object is achieved with the invention in the characterizing part of patent claim 1 specified features.
In the method according to the invention is in the hole a filling of fest embedded in a matrix introduced bodies, their thermal expansion coefficient is smaller than that of the model materials. This ensures that the filling at low temperatures don't shrink more than that Model material so that no gaps form in the Filling occur. The filling comes with a deck layer covered, whose thermal conductivity is greater than that of the model material. The top layer is much thinner than the filling. Because of their high Thermal conductivity is achieved that the material of the Filling cools faster and that the model material due to its larger expansion coefficient thrust transfers tension to the filling and thereby additionally clamped. This advantage can only be achieved with a relatively thin top layer that is still elastic is to realize.
The invention is based on the idea that Material of a hole filling an expansion coefficient should have clients who are smaller than those of Model material and at the same time a heat conductive speed that is greater than that of the model material. These opposing properties of filler and Model material are used in the Ver drive both fulfilled that a filling with low coefficient of expansion in connection with a top layer with high thermal conductivity becomes.
To protect screws or screws in the hole other construction parts can be installed before Filling a fleece pack placed in the hole will. This prevents the matrix material glued these construction parts.
Glass balls or are preferably used as solids other bodies with similar minor expansion coefficients used.
The following will refer to the only one Figure of the drawing an embodiment of the Invention explained in more detail.
The drawing shows a cross section through a Filled mounting hole of a model for testing is prepared in a low-temperature wind tunnel.
The wind tunnel model 10 of an aircraft has a mounting hole 11 in which a screw or nut 12 is seated, which can be fixed, e.g. B. is welded or pressed. It is also possible to provide mounting holes that do not contain a screw.
There is a fleece pack 13 on the screw 12 , which protects the screw against the influx of plastic.
The filling 14 is arranged adjacent to the fleece pack 13 . This consists of solids 15 which are embedded in a synthetic resin matrix 16 . The solid body 15 are glass balls and the matrix 16 consists of a two-component adhesive.
The cover layer 17 is arranged above the filling 14 and is flush with the outer surface 18 of the model 10 . The cover layer 17 is much thinner than the filling 14 and its thickness is such that it is sufficient to be able to carry out a fine machining. The cover layer 17 consists of a two-component adhesive, in the present case of the same material as the matrix 16 . This top layer is applied by spatula and mechanically fine-worked after hardening, e.g. B. by grinding. It has a thermal conductivity that is higher than the thermal conductivity of the model material. It is thereby achieved that the filling 14 is cooled faster when the surroundings cool down. Since the solids 15 of the filling have a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than the model material, the filling presses itself into the hole 11, as a result of which cracks are avoided. The cold-curing two-component adhesive x-60 from Hottinger Baldwin Meßtechnik GmbH, Darmstadt, was used as the material for the matrix 16 and the cover layer 17 . It is a thermoplastic material.
Experiments have shown that the hole filling under Maintaining the surface quality at very low Temperatures in the range of 300 K to 100 K is stable, without the surface quality suffering.
The hole filling can easily be destroyed and removed when using the mounting block should take place.
