In the prodn. of matrix material (I) for the prodn. of panels, mats and mouldings from mixts. of ground scrap rubber (II), with or without reinforcements, masticating agent (III), natural rubber (NR), accelerator system, ZnO and S, (II) mixt. is treated with 2-6, (2.5-4) wt.% of either: a) aliphatic-aromatic plasticising resin (IV) as viscous liq. (IVA) with sp. gr. = 0.8-1.2 g/cc and viscosity = 60-100 mPa.s at 80 deg.C; or b) (IV) in solid form (IVB) in a master batch with SiO2; and rolls are used for mixing. Pref.
