Geg enstand vorlieg enderErfindung ist ein Anstrichmittel zur Konservierung von M .etallflächen, bestehend aus einem Gemisch von 2oProzent Leinölfirnis, 72 Prozent Terpentinöl und 8 Prozent säurefreiemFruchtäther. Dieses Mittel verfolgt wie Zellulo'idlack und andere ähnliche Anstrichmittel den Zweck, -den Zutritt des Sauerstoffs und der Luftfeuchtigkeit bzw. anderer die Oxydation fördernder Stoffe zu den Metallflächen zu verhindern. Dieser Zweck wird dadurch erreicht, daß die Mängel der Lacke vermieden werden, die darin bestehen, daß die Lacke infolge ihrer Sprödigkeit bei Bewegungen der Metalle und bei deren Volumenveränderung infolge von Temperaturveränderungen nicht standhalten, insbesondere leicht rissig werden und dadurch,dem Sauerstoff der Luft und der Feuchtigkeit .das Eindringen und somit die Bildung von neuen Oxydationsstellen ermöglichen, während das vorliegende Mittel nach Verdunstung der darin enthaltenen Verdünnungsflüssigkeiten einen zähhart-en Überzug bildet, der auch bei Eintritt von Bewegungen und Volumenveränderungen völligen Luftabschluß garantiert.
