Reihe geschalteten Dioden versehenen Diodenmodulator. The invention relates to a horizontal deflection stage for generation
a line-frequency modulated deflection current with an in
Series of switched diodes provided diode modulator.
Eine derartige Horizontalablenkstufe ist aus der Valvo-Informa
tionsschrift "Information über Farbfernsehempfängertechnik,
Ost-West-Rasterkorrektur", Nr. 74 bekannt.
densator in Reihe geschaltete Ablenkspule.
Such a horizontal deflection stage is from Valvo-Informa

East-West Raster Correction ", No. 74. A diode module
gate has a first parallel connection consisting of a
first return diode and a first return capacitor,
which is connected in series with a second parallel scarf
device, consisting of a second return diode and a
second reflux condenser. A switch that acts as an end trans

Arranged in parallel and lies in parallel with the first
circuit on a horizontal transformer. Parallel to
first return capacitor is one with a third con
deflection coil connected in series. One with one
fourth capacitor in series is the bridge coil
second return capacitor connected in parallel. The series
charges of the third and fourth capacitors are above that
Horizontal transformer at a constant supply voltage,
while a voltage on the fourth capacitor changes
is to generate an east-west modulation. An ideal one
linear course of a sawtooth-shaped deflection current during
the running phase between a negative and a positive
Maximum value can be in a practical embodiment
not produce this known horizontal deflection stage because the
Forward voltages of the first and second flyback diodes are not
are negligible. When moving from a first part
the running phase between a negative maximum value and the
Zero value of the deflection current to a second part of the outflow
phase between the value zero and a positive maximum value
the deflection current experiences this due to a voltage jump
due to the non-negligible flow voltages of the
Return diodes change the linear current rise. This
causes a change in the speed of the deflection of the elec
electron beam and thereby a change in brightness on the
Fluorescent screen of a picture tube, which is annoying for an observer
is.
The invention has for its object a horizontal
to create a deflection stage of the type mentioned, the one
almost linear increase in the deflection current during the run
phase enables.
According to the invention, this task is characterized by

Due to the bias voltage applied to the flyback diodes

Fig. 1 ein Prinzipschaltbild einer Horizontalablenkstufe mit
einem Diodenmodulator in einer ersten Ausführungsform und Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a horizontal deflection stage with a diode modulator in a first embodiment and
Fig. 2 eine zweite Ausführungsform der Erfindung. Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment of the invention.
Modulationsspule LM in Reihe geschalteten Kondensator C2.
stor TS nun "normal" leitend.
In
The horizontal deflection stage shown in FIG. 1 contains a switching transistor TS, a horizontal transformer HT, a diode modulator DM, a tangent capacitor CT, a deflection coil LA, a modulation coil LM and a capacitor C 2 connected in series with the modulation coil LM. The diode modulator DM consists of two parallel circuits connected in series, the first parallel circuit consisting of a first flyback capacitor CR 1 and a first flyback diode D 1 and the second parallel circuit consisting of a second flyback capacitor CR 2 and a second flyback diode D 2 . The collector of the switching transistor TS, which is controlled by a driver stage TR with a horizontal-frequency square-wave signal, the cathode of the first flyback diode D 1 and the first flyback capacitor CR 1 are connected to the horizontal transformer HT, which is supplied with a constant supply voltage Ub. The anode of the second flyback diode D 2 and the second flyback capacitor CR 2 are supplied with a bias voltage Uv, the capacitor C 2 with a modulation voltage Um. With a bias voltage Uv equal to zero, the operation of the horizontal deflection stage shown is known. During the first part of the forward phase of a through the deflection coil LA, the deflection current flows between a negative maximum value and the value zero, the switching transistor TS is inversely conductive and the flyback diodes D 1 and D 2 are conductive in the forward direction. The energy stored in the deflection coil LA and the modulation coil LM is transferred to the capacitor C 2 and the tangent capacitor CT. The voltage at the deflection coil LA is equal to the forward voltage of the flyback diode D 1 and the voltage across the tangent capacitor CT. In the further course during the first part of the forward phase, the switching transistor TS is driven with a positive square-wave signal, but initially remains in the inverse conductive state. At the beginning of the second part of the forward phase between the value zero and a positive maximum value of the deflection current, the switching transistor TS is now "normally" conductive. Depending on the size of the modulation voltage Um, the case occurs that the deflection current flows through the second flyback diode D 2 , the deflection coil LA, the tangent capacitor CT and the switching transistor TS. In this part of the forward phase, the voltage at the deflection coil LA corresponds to the voltage conditions at the second return diode D 2 , at the tangent capacitor CT and the collector-emitter voltage of the switching transistor TS. This means that in the middle of the flow of the deflection current, that is to say during the transition from the first to the second part of the flow phase, a voltage jump occurs at the deflection coil LA. The voltage jump during the transition from the first part to the second part of the forward phase causes a change in the current steepness of the deflection current in the deflection coil LA. This change in the current steepness is avoided by applying a bias voltage Uv to the flyback diodes D 1 , D 2 , which is equal to the sum of the forward voltages of these diodes. This bias voltage Uv causes these two diodes to be operated during the entire forward phase in the forward direction and that, in particular at the beginning and during the second part of this forward phase, the first flyback diode D 1 is conductive in the forward direction. The voltage at the deflection coil LA is lower by the voltage drop at the first flyback diode D 1 . A voltage jump at the deflection coil LA is avoided.
The horizontal transformer HT of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 is provided on the secondary side with an auxiliary winding HW, the induced voltage of which is applied to the base point of the diode modulator DM. The auxiliary winding HW is dimensioned so that the necessary bias voltage Uv is generated while the deflection current is running.
