Abstract

The insert for a munition containing a hollow explosive charge, is made from two different metals which are welded together. The insert is made from a circular blank (1) which has a central circular part made of aluminium (4) which is enclosed in a ring (2) made of copper. The two parts (2) and (4) have conical abutting surfaces and are joined together by friction welding. The conical insert (10) is then produced from the blank (1) by hydraulic pressure with the tip (11) of the insert being formed from the central part (4) and the skirt (12) being formed from the ring (2). USE - Insert for munitions with hollow explosive charges.

Description

The invention relates to an insert for a shaped charge according to the preamble of claim 1.

From DE-PS 32 17 724 a shaped charge is known in which the Insert made of at least two elements in a row different metals or alloys. Such one Insert is very difficult to manufacture, since the seams between two two different metals or alloys during the process break molding process. Such breaks lead to the Ignition of the shaped charge to significant loss of power and beam disorders.

The invention is based, the inexpensive manufacturer insert in a solid and gas-tight connection least two elements made of different materials of an insert to propose.

The invention solves this problem in accordance with the characterizing Features of the claim.

The invention has the advantage that between two different materials a geometrically reproducible cut point is present, which is a permanent and gas-tight by friction welding Connection ensured during the forming process by flow pressing.

Es zeigt:An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing poses. It shows:

Fig. 1 eine Ronde als Vormaterial für eine Hohlladung, Fig. 1 is a circular blank as starting material for a shaped charge,

Fig. 2 eine Einlage für eine Hohlladung. Fig. 2 is an insert for a shaped charge.

A circular symmetrical disc 1 or disc consists of a circular ring 2 with a tapered recess 3rd A section 4 made of aluminum lies in the recess 3 . The section 4 is connected to the circular ring 2 by friction welding 5 .

An insert 10 can be seen from FIG . This was created by pressing the round blank 1 . An apex element 11 originates from section 4 made of aluminum. A subsequent element 12 has the circular ring 2 as its origin and consists of copper.

The tapered recess 3 allows a large friction welding connection. After the flow pressing, the connection is gas-tight and firm.

With an insert with three elements, according to the inventions teaching according to the invention two circular rings and a central section seen, these three parts each by friction welding with each other get connected.

The teaching according to the invention is also for the production of deposits applicable for projectile-forming charges.

Claims (1)
