Description
The invention relates to a radio device for Remote control of computer systems according to the generic term of Claim 1.
An arrangement of this kind is from the DEZ "Funkschau 88, Issue 77, pages 42 to 47 "in connection with Car phones known in the C network. In this known Arrangement are said to be those installed in a motor vehicle Car phones with a data interface for that Transmission via a so-called modem, the can work electrically or acoustically. Orders This type is suitable for long distances away using the Communicate telephone network with an EDP. For the Remote control of data processing systems via smaller ones The known arrangements prove to be at distances however, as highly uneconomical. Another disadvantage The known arrangement can be seen in the fact that one does not gets along without a communication program because both the the external computer forming the input device as well as that of the stationary EDP Modems need feedback on whether the corresponding interface opened or closed is. Another disadvantage of the known arrangement is to see that not only for the car telephone systems, but also for the modems that interact with it Postage fees are payable.
Based on this, it is therefore the task of present invention, a device initially of the type mentioned with simple and inexpensive means to train so that on smaller distances economic operation is possible.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the indicator of claim 1 solved.
The cordless phone represents a simple and robust and at the same time also a very compact radio device for smaller ranges that are in the telephone area has already proven itself and the cost-effective and sufficient appropriate quality is available and with the Er invented another new use for the first time leads. The measure according to the invention Accordingly, for the first time, men are cost-effective Device that can be produced and operated at low cost for remote control of computer systems in the area of smaller ones Ranges.
Advantageous configurations and practical training General measures are in the subclaims Chen specified. So can be useful at the entrance to the Kopp lers and / or electrical Sig at the output of the coupler nale concerns or expire. These are more advantageous Easy to process in the desired way.
Another advantageous advanced training for the parent Measures can be that the coupler closed, feeding this with electrical signals Input device designed as a bar code scanning element is. In conjunction with these measures, the parent measures entering in the form of a Barcodes existing information in the associated EDP system. This can practically be a keyboard act signals without the need for a keyboard.
The line between inputs can be advantageous direction and coupler via an intermediate, preferably bar code provided with a memory lead decoder. This measure results in a special one high accuracy even with comparatively low Radio quality.
When processing bar code information one for each EDP system to be controlled Subordinate optocoupler, the practically barcode mations simulated, depending on the incoming electrical information illuminates a light source or not, through which a diode is made transparent will or not. This therefore makes it more advantageous Make a direct connection between the input direction and the computer system simulated without a such connection actually exists.
A bar code decoder can expediently be used for each optocoupler be subordinate, whose circuit through the diode of assigned optocoupler is controlled. The bar code decoder, which is provided with a memory, eliminated the speed of movement of the bar code scanner the input device and interprets the incoming Signals that are timed if they can be used clocked to the downstream EDP system the.
In the case of several IT systems with one and the same Any input device to be controlled EDP system an optocoupler with subordinate bar code assigned decoder, the optocouplers parallel ge can be switched on and off accordingly can be controlled by the same coupler.
In der Zeichnung zeigtFurther expedient configurations and advantageous Further training of the overarching measures result preferred one from the description below th embodiment with reference to the drawing in Ver binding with the remaining subclaims. In the drawing shows
Fig. 1 ein Blockschaltbild einer erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung mit einem Sender und mehreren EDV-Anlagen und Fig. 1 is a block diagram of a device according to the invention with a transmitter and several computer systems and
Fig. 2 shows a variation with several transmitters and a computer system.
The device on which FIG. 1 is based contains a number of EDP systems 1 a, b, which are said to be remotely operable. Devices of this type can be used, for example, in restaurants for order acceptance, processing and processing or in warehouse management or for controlling robots etc. The commands to be entered into one of the two or both EDP systems 1 a, b are here in the form of a bar code 2 , the z. B. can be printed on the menu in a restaurant menu. This can be the so-called code 39, which allows the representation of alpha numeric characters. However, any other code is also possible. If the barcode contains two keyboard commands, this makes an input keyboard unnecessary.
Den Ausgang des Kopplers 5 bildet ein die Tonsignale aussendender Lautsprecher 7.The bar code 2 , that is, the characters shown in bar code are scanned by an input device in the form of a reading pen 3 . The reading pen 3 , which can have its own 5 V voltage source, converts the bar code 2 when the black and white signals are passed into corresponding electrical pulse trains. The reading pen 3 is wired directly, or as indirectly here with the interposition of a bar code decoder 4 , to a coupler 5 . This is a separate voltage source in the order of 9-14 V, electro-acoustic transducer, which converts the electrical signals given to it into audible sound signals. In this example, the frequencies 2100 Hz for white and 1250 Hz for black are used. This results in a particularly good tonal sharpness. However, all other frequencies are also possible. The coupler 5 , which is designed as an electro-acoustic transducer, that is to say as a so-called acoustic coupler, has a V-24 interface 6 , which could also be addressed by an EDP system. This interface 6 is used here for connecting the reader pen 3 and activated so that the serial signals of the reader pen 3 are recorded as digital signals. The output of the coupler 5 is formed by a loudspeaker 7 which emits the sound signals.
These sound signals emitted by the loudspeaker 7 , indicated by waves 8, are recorded by means of a microphone 10 which forms the input of a transmitter 9 and which faces the loudspeaker 7 and is arranged only at a short distance therefrom. This distance can be on the order of about 1 mm. Despite this small distance, there is no direct connection between the output of the coupler 5 and the input of the transmitter 9 . Rather, the information in the form of sound waves 8 is transmitted acoustically. The transmitter 9 provided with an antenna 11 can be used for a cordless telephone.
The transmitter 9 transmits via the antenna 11 the corresponding sound signals corresponding to electromagnetic signals over the desired larger distance to a receiver 12 which is also provided with an antenna 11 . This can be the base station of the radio telephone. The radio frequency is in the 870-872 and 930-932 MHz bands reserved by Swiss Post. The receiver 12 either converts the received signals back into audible tones of the frequencies 2100 and 1250 Hz or into inductive waves. Of the receiver are len acoustic or inductive Wel generated by the receiver 12 given a 12 wirelessly to a receiver 12 adjacent Rekoppler 13 from the output. A speaker 15 provided with a coil 14 forms the output of the receiver 12 . When Rekopp ler 13 is again an acoustic coupler, which acts here as an acoustoelectric converter that converts the wave signals received by wireless into electrical pulse trains. Provided that the communication with the coupler takes place acoustically, the coupler 13 is provided with an input microphone. In the illustrated embodiment, the communication between the receiver 12 and the coupler 13 takes place inductively. For this purpose, the coupler 13 is provided with a coil 16 which forms its input and which interacts with the coil 14 on the output side of the receiver 12 in an inductive manner. In the same way, of course, the communication between the coupler 5 and the transmitter 9 would be possible, as conversely, the communication between the receiver 12 and the recoupler 13 would be possible acoustically as above.
The pulse trains generated by the coupler 13 are available at its V-24 interface 17 , which forms the output of the coupler 13 . In contrast, the V-24 interface of the coupler 5 forms its input. With the help of the signals given at the interface 17 of the coupler 13 , bar code signals are simulated. For this purpose, the coupler 13 is followed by a plurality of bar code simulators 18 connected in parallel. These are so-called optocouplers, each having a lamp 19 which can be activated by the output signals of the coupler 13 and an opposing photo diode 20 which controls the circuit 21 of a bar code decoder 22 , which is arranged downstream. When the lamp 19 lights up, the diode 20 is transparent, that is, the circuit 21 is open. If the Lam pe 19 is not lit, the circuit 21 is interrupted. Accordingly, the black-and-white information recorded by the reading pen 3 is simulated accordingly. Of the respective bar code simulator 18 forming optocouplers mentioned interface 23 of the respective downstream bar code decoder 22 could also be addressed directly from a reading pen. The incoming information is practically the same.
There is no direct connection between the bar code decoders 22 and the coupler 13 . Rather, the optocouplers, each forming a bar code simulator 18, effect the signal transmission between the coupler 13 and the bar code decoders 22 . The bar code decoder 22 , which, like the bar code decoder 4 above, is equipped with its own memory, sets the length of the black-and-white signals in relation, thereby eliminating the speed of movement of the reading pen 3 , and outputs the cleaned signals in a staggered manner to a respective downstream EDP -Annex 1 a, b from. Here, the keyboard interface 24 of the computer system 1 a, b is used. If a normal input keyboard is also required, this can be connected to the same interface, for example via bar code decoder 22 , as indicated at 25 . However, the V-24 interface customary in EDP systems could also be used for data input.
In the example shown, two EDP systems 1 a, 1 b are provided, each system being preceded by a bar code decoder 22 with an associated bar code simulator 18 . The lamps 19 of the bar code simulators 18 formed by optocouplers, as already mentioned above, are connected in parallel with respect to the output of the coupler 13 . Accordingly, as many EDP systems can be controlled in parallel here as optocoupler lamps 19 can be supplied by the coupler 13 provided with its own voltage source. At a voltage of 9 V, these are usually three lamps 19 and accordingly three computer systems, two of which are shown. The bar code decoders 22 are able to interpret the incoming signals. The bar code decoders 22 are therefore only active if the incoming signals in the downstream EDP system 1 a, 1 b can also be processed. Where this is not the case, the associated bar code decoder 22 remains inactive.
In the example on which FIG. 1 is based, several EDP systems are controlled by means of a transmitter. However, it is also possible to control a computer system by means of several transmitters, as shown in FIG. 2. Here is a at the input 24 of a computer system 1 c series circuit 26 of several, corresponding to the number of receivers, series-connected bar code decoders 22 , each of which has an input 27 operable by an assigned receiver. The series circuit 26 can also hold an input keyboard 25 ent. The barcode decoders have logic so that only complete signals are transmitted at a time. The signals therefore do not mix. This allows several people to make entries simultaneously via radio.
Although some particularly preferred examples of the invention are explained in more detail above, this is not intended to imply any limitation. Rather, a number of possibilities are available to the person skilled in the art to adapt the general idea of the invention to the circumstances of the individual case. It would also be possible with the measures according to the invention to query a computer system or to communicate with it. For this purpose, in addition to the arrangement on which FIGS. 1 and 2 are based, a screen is required which can be controlled by the computer system in the same way as it can be controlled by the reading pen. The screen can be permanently mounted in a motor vehicle, for example. If input should also be possible without the use of bar code information, a keyboard which is likewise mounted here in the motor vehicle can be provided in parallel or as an alternative to the reading pen. Such an embodiment is particularly suitable for applications in which a lot of external work is required, for doctors who carry out home visits, for representatives who carry out customer visits and the like. In these cases, it is possible to call up information from a computer at home while driving and display it on the screen. Here, a u. U. existing car phone can be included in the system.
