When carrying out the method according to the invention one proceeds in detail so that one to the required Temperature preheated melt of 4-chlorobenzaldehyde optionally under a protective gas atmosphere, such as B. under nitrogen, in a to the required Heated mixture of 3,3-dimethyl-butan-2-one, aqueous sodium hydroxide solution and methanol metered in, then can react, then possibly after previous Transfer of the reaction mixture to a separate one Crystallization container diluted with methanol, then quickly evacuated and when an internal temperature is reached from 20 ° C the outside of the vessel cools, which sucks off the resulting crystalline product, washed with methanol and optionally at temperatures up to 60 ° C dries under reduced pressure. The received Mother liquors as well as the methanolic Washing solutions can again with further implementations be used.
EP-OS 0 040 345). That which can be produced by the method according to the invention 1- (4-chlorophenyl) -4,4-dimethyl-pent-1-en-3-one of the formula (I) is a valuable intermediate for synthesis of 1- (4-chlorophenyl) -3- (1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl) - 4,4-dimethyl-pentan-3-ol, which excellent plants has growth-regulating and fungicidal properties (see EP-OS 0 040 345).
This is how 1- (4-chlorophenyl) -3- (1,2,4-triazole-1- yl-methyl) -4,4-dimethyl-pentan-3-ol produce by first 1- (4-chlorophenyl) -4,4-dimethyl-pent-1-en-3-one catalytically hydrogenated, the resulting 1- (4-chlorophenyl) -4,4-dimethyl-pentan-3-one by reaction with dimethylsulfonium methylide into the 2- (4- Chlor-phenyl-ethyl) -2-tert-butyl-oxirane transferred and this then with 1,2,4-triazole in the presence of sodium hydroxide implements. This synthesis can be reproduce the following formula scheme:
The method of the invention is illustrated by the following Example illustrated.
3,3-Dimethyl-butan-2-on (94,5%ig; 4.101 Mol), 480 kg
Man evakuiert schnell,
gewaschen. Man erhält auf diese Weise 875 kg (95% der
Theorie) an 1-(4-Chlor-phenyl)-4,4-dimethyl-pent-1-en-3-on,
das gemäß gaschromatographischer Analyse einen
Reinheitsgrad von 99% besitzt.
Schmelzpunkt: 85°C
In a heated to 65 ° C mixture of 434 kg of technical 3,3-dimethyl-butan-2-one (94.5%; 4,101 mol), 480 kg of methanol and 45 kg of aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (45% by weight) While stirring, a melt of 588 kg of 4-chlorobenzaldehyde (98%; 4,100 mol) heated to 65 ° C. was metered in over a period of 2 hours with a blanket of nitrogen. After the addition has ended, the mixture is stirred at 70 ° C. for a further 2 hours. The reaction mixture is then fed into a separate vessel via a heated line and diluted with 480 kg of methanol. One evacuates quickly, so that a strong reflux occurs. As soon as the temperature of the reaction mixture has dropped to 20 ° C, the vessel with brine solution is additionally cooled from the outside until the internal temperature is 10 ° C and the pressure in the reaction vessel is 30 mbar. The reaction mixture is placed in portions on a centrifuge, where the crystalline fractions are separated from the mother liquor. The crystalline product is washed with 420 kg of methanol and washed at 60 ° C. under reduced pressure. In this way 875 kg (95% of theory) of 1- (4-chlorophenyl) -4,4-dimethyl-pent-1-en-3-one are obtained, which according to gas chromatographic analysis has a purity of 99% .
Melting point: 85 ° C
The mother liquor and the methanolic washing solution will be used again for further implementations.
