Von den bisher zur Kappenversteifung für Schuhzeug vorgeschlagenen gebogenen Blechstreifen unterscheidet sich die vorliegende Versteifung dadurch, dafs sie nicht nur rings um die Innenkappe, sondern auch über den Absatz sich erstreckt, derart, dafs dieser zugleich durch Zungen, die aus dem Boden der Metallkappe herausgebogen sind, fest am Platz gehalten wird. Die Metallkappe wird vor dem Aufsetzen des Absatzes zwischen das Aufsenleder und die Innenkappe eingeschoben und dann mit den Haupttheilen verbunden, so dafs man nach Fertigstellung des Schuhwerks die Metallkappe gar nicht mehr zu sehen bekommt.
