Abstract

The invention relates to a speaking aid for laryngectomised patients which possesses a receiver member fitted in the oral cavity and an emitter worn separately thereof outside the mouth. The frequency and/or amplitude of the sound generated by the receiver part in the mouth can be controlled via the emitter. By means of the speaking aid, according to the invention, the laryngectomised patient can vary pitch and volume of the voice by manual control of the desired sound frequency and amplitude at the emitter. The speaking aid, according to the invention, therefore permits laryngectomised patients to speak in a natural, that is to say, voice-modulated manner. The separation, according to the invention, into emitting and receiving part permits problem-free, easy wearing, on the one hand, and simple operation and handling of the device, on the other hand.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sprechhilfegerät für Kehlkopfoperierte gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.The invention relates to a speech aid for larynx surgeons according to the preamble of claim 1.

Es sind Sprechhilfegeräte für Kehlkopfoperierte bekannt, bei denen der Schallkopf an die Weichteile des Halses gepreßt und der Schall durch die Haut in den Mundraum übertragen werden muß (Deutsche Patentschrift DE 28 18 144).Speech aids for larynx surgeons are known in which the transducer is pressed against the soft parts of the neck and the sound must be transmitted through the skin into the mouth (German Patent DE 28 18 144).

However, these devices only give natural possibilities to a limited extent way of speaking, because the pitch and volume are not quick can be varied enough and not far enough. Also are Handling and speaking with the known devices striking and provide an additional psychic for those affected Burden.

The invention is therefore based on the object of a speech aid device with an inconspicuous, simple and convenient handling to create, which the possibility to pitch and volume kenmodulated and thus natural speech.

This task is accomplished by training according to the characteristics of the Claim 1 solved.

The speech aid according to the invention has the advantage that the Division into a receiver part worn concealed in the mouth and a transmitter to be carried separately is a very convenient one Handling of the entire facility allowed. The control of Sound frequency and amplitude at the transmitter while speaking give the larynx surgeon the option of forming a Melody to achieve a natural way of speaking. Taxes possibility and concealed wearing of the speech aid easy handling does not make the disability so obvious become. This facilitates the integration of those affected into society on the one hand and creates much better ones on the other Communication options for larynx operated on, whose by previously used speech assistants supported language from listened to some people without special attention and can therefore be an additional, high psychic Exposed to stress in everyday dealings with strangers are.

This high additional burden is caused by the use of the he Invention speaking device and the associated voice Modulated, natural way of speaking avoided.
