Abstract

The freely movable latch (3) has a hook (3a) extending between a bolt (5) and a square (6) into engagement with the end of the eccentric lever (7a) associated with the locking nut (7). A cam (7b) and a blocking lug (7c) co-operate with a control lever (12) and locking lever (139 retained by a common bolt (14). Operation of the outer door handle rotates the control lever (12) which acts on the locking lever (13) through a weak spring (15). If the electromagnet (16) is excited, the locking lever (13) maintains its rest position while the lug (7c) moves past it.
