Die Eggenbalken oder Eggencylinder werden aus parallel laufenden und durch Venietung oder Schweifsung verbundenen Doppelstäben hergestellt. Die vorher in die Stäbe eingeprefsten Vertiefungen bilden die Gehäuse für dieEggenzähne. Die Vernietung oder Schweifsung geschieht so weit von dem Gehäuse, dafs die eingetriebenen Eggenzähne durch die Federung des Materials der Gehäuse festgeklemmt und vor selbsttätigem Zurückweichen gesichert werden. Das Auswechseln der Eggenzähne geschieht durch Austreiben des alten und Wiedereintreiben des neuen Zahnes. Die Gehäuse für die Eggenzähne können sowohl rund, oval, drei- oder mehreckig angeordnet werden; bei Wieseneggen, beispielsweise wie in Fig. i, 2 und 3 gezeichnet, mit ovalem Querschnitt und bei Gliedereggen, Fig. 4, mit quadratischem Querschnitt.The harrow bars or harrow cylinders are made from parallel running and by riveting or welding connected double rods.
