Description
Method for sewing rings. The invention is a Process suitable for the production of thread buttons for sewing around rings with a non-pullable single thread seam, which is characterized in that a The thread loop pulled out of the ring opening is pushed over the ring to the covering guided certain point of the ring body and is tightened here to knot. "To hold the ring in place while sewing, the known holding devices are used, which release the ring at those points in each case, which the Thread loops or the thread guides rush through when driving around the ring. The well-known Method for sewing rings opposite, in which needle and shuttle for When applied, this procedure shows the main difference that the Locking of the thread loop is not caused by the amount of thread by means of a shuttle passed through the thread loop, but the thread loop over the ring is pushed so that the ring body appears to have been brought through the thread loop. Furthermore, this method has the advantage that it requires the use of a thread very much large length allows, such as such housed on a fixed spool can be so that the work interruptions caused by (read replacement of the shuttle omitted, and also the thread of two or more bobbins or two pulled off several times, the thread loop made of two or more threads at the same time can be formed and pushed over the ring.
The drawing shows the application of the non-pullable loops at two opposite points of the ring in eight consecutive, in the Fig. I to 8 indicated phases. Each of the figures shows the position of everyone Tools in front view and top view.
The thread t runs from the bobbin through the eye of the needle a. The end of the thread is attached to a point h of the standing clamped ring o or after inserting a new ring into the holding device in a known manner temporarily held on to the ring. The thread is held by resilient tensioners always get excited.
Phase i (Fig. I): The needle a moves through the ring opening, specifically in the vicinity of the point where the loop is to be placed. The thread part located between needle a and point! I is now gripped by two hook-shaped thread guides in, n , which then (arrows i) move from one another and downwards, whereby in phase 2 (Fig. 2) they surround the lower half of the ring Form a loop, which consists of the two side parts v, w and the horizontal parts u connecting them. After pulling out this loop V, 1i, ü, the thread guides n move vertically against the plane of the ring (arrows 2) and take the thread with them through friction. The part of the loop is then placed on the side of the ring facing the coil. At the same time, the needle a is withdrawn as the ring opening, so that the part v of the loop lying between the needle and the guide n is bent around the ring body o.
Phase 3 (Fig. 3): In this phase the Thread guide n (arrow 3 in Fig. 2), without changing its position in relation to the plane of the ring, up to the height the middle of the ring, while the second thread guide m the ring in the opposite direction in the sense of the arrows q. (Fig. 2 and 3) bypassing the outside and doing the loop like this sets that the part u of the same occurs in front of and the part w behind the ring o and part ic crosses part v below.
Phase q. Phase q. (Fig. 4): In phase q. the thread guide n remains on his place, while the second thread guide m his way in the direction of the arrow q. continues for another go ° until it is perpendicular to the first thread guides is. Now both thread guides m "n drop the loop, for example by that they swing out of the path of the thread, and the thread is pulled by the train, which acts on the part of the same lying between the needle and the bobbin, tightened, creating a tight noose on the left side of the ring forms and the part w of the loop between two points of the ring is finally held appears.
Phase 5 (Fig. 5): The needle d, which is already located during phase q. has moved towards the center of the ring, now moves towards that point of the ring which is opposite the knot formed and pierces the ring again, whereupon the part of the thread which lies between the loop formed on the ring and the needle a, again from the two thread guides m, n and is pulled out in phase 6 (Fig. 6) by walking up and down and then advancing the thread guide m, ii to form a loop w ', ic', v ' . In the following phases 7 and 8 (Figs. 7 and 8) the same processes take place which were described earlier with regard to Figs. 3 and 4, only with the difference that the thread guide is now in only travels up to the middle of the ring, while the thread guide x covers the greater distance, and that the parts of the loop change their roles in such a way that now the part v 'on the right plays the role that the one on the left (v) used to play and vice versa . After the loop has been dropped by the two guides m, n, it is therefore deposited at that point on the ring which is diametrically opposite the first depositing point, and a loop that now consists of the parts zei is again deposited around the ring body. The complete sewing of the ring by this method can either take place in that the ring is twisted by a certain angle after each double knot formation, or that by alternately forming knots on both sides of the ring a number of parallel threads are placed over the ring and only after laying this series an angular rotation of the ring takes place. Known devices are used for this periodic rotation of the ring. After sewing, the ring is automatically dropped and replaced by a new ring, whereby the thread hanging from the finished ring is guided in such a way that it is held at one point of the newly inserted ring until the thread is sewn on the ring adheres. Known devices are used to eject the completed ring and to replace it with a new one.
The method described offers a comparison with those that have become known so far the considerable advantage that the sewing process in a practical sense is definitely a is more continuous because instead of a thread of through the capacity a shuttle bobbin of practically very limited length a thread bobbin of larger dimensions can occur, which always remains outside the ring in the same place and further can be worked with double or multiple thread.
