Abstract
Description
The invention is based on an optical fiber coupling for a medical Laser device with a sleeve-shaped frame, at one end of which Laser light beam enters and at the other end of the Light guide emerges, and with a centrally installed optical Coupling for an optical fiber.
Couplings are used for the application of lasers in the medical field between the laser device and the application device.
For this purpose, the applicant has published utility model DE 84 16 748 U1 an optical fiber coupling has become known that within a sleeve-shaped holder for the light guide and a Lens device for focusing the laser light on the optical fiber contains. The light guide is in the grip area of the sleeve-shaped Socket guided in a straight line. This results in the case of connection the light guide coupling without light guide or without an optical lens system the risk of unimpeded laser radiation.
In the patent 34 44 823 C2 is also a releasable connection device described between an optical fiber and a laser device, the but has the same disadvantage.
It is therefore an object of the invention, the known optical fiber coupling to develop further so that from the optical fiber coupling in If they are either without an optical coupling and without a light guide, or with optical coupling but without light guide to the laser device no laser radiation endangering the user exit.
The object is achieved by the im Main claim specified characteristic features solved. Advantageous embodiments result from the subclaims.
The inventive design of the light guide coupling The particular advantage is that the user has no direct view in the unobstructed emerging laser beam is more possible and that the emerging laser beam diffuse within the optical fiber coupling is scattered and / or absorbed.
Es zeigtEmbodiments of the invention are schematic in the drawing are shown in simplified form and are explained in more detail below. It shows
Fig. 1 eine einfache Ausführungsform einer Lichtleitereinkopplung; . Figure 1 shows a simple embodiment of a light guide coupling;
Fig. 2 eine andere Ausführungsform mit weiteren Anschlüssen. Fig. 2 shows another embodiment with further connections.
The light guide coupling shown in Fig. 1 consists of an elongated sleeve-shaped socket 1 , in the interior 11 of which the light guide (not shown) is arranged. Version 1 is inserted into a corresponding opening on the laser device for operation and, if necessary, locked. In this case, the optical coupling 3 attached to the sleeve-shaped holder 1 is positioned in the laser device such that the light beam 7 emerging from the laser is focused on the free end of the optical fiber by means of a lens 4 .
At the end facing the light guide outlet 8 , the sleeve-shaped holder 1 has a kink 2 , at which the main axis 12 of the holder 1 is angled by an angle α in the range between 0 ° and 45 °, preferably approximately 30 °. As a result, a laser beam 7 incident through the optical coupling 3 can no longer emerge unhindered at the end 8 of the holder 1 , but rather strikes the inner wall of the sleeve-shaped holder 1 . In the example shown, a first device 5 for diffuse scattering of the incident laser light 7 is provided in the area of the impact point. This device can consist of a metal sleeve, the inner wall of which is provided with an internal thread. The spreading degree can be adjusted by selecting the flank steepness and the pitch angle of the thread. In the area of the kink 2 , a handle part 10 is also provided, with which the sleeve-shaped holder 1 and the metal sleeve 5 are firmly connected, so that the handle also serves as a heat sink.
The optical fiber coupling shown in FIG. 2 has further functional devices and is therefore also constructed in several parts. In this exemplary embodiment, the sleeve-shaped holder 1 and the extension sleeve 9 with the handle piece 10 , also attached, are made of plastic and / or metal. The optical coupling 3 is in turn arranged centrally within the holder 1 . Further connections for gas, electricity etc. are provided around the optical coupling 3 . In the drawing, a plug 13 is shown as an example, which actuates a short-circuit switch 14 when installing the optical coupling 3 in the sleeve-shaped socket 1 .
In the area of the handle 10 there is the kink 2 , at which a metal or plastic sleeve absorbing the laser radiation is attached as a further device 6 in the area of incidence of the laser beam 7 .
A combination of the first device 5 for diffuse scattering of the laser radiation with the further device 6 for absorption of the laser radiation is entirely possible, so that the person skilled in the art can choose the most favorable option in each case.
