Manuscript holder for typewriters. - The invention relates
on a manuscript holder for typewriters with one to be written
Line indicating ruler, which is attached to the side of the document holder,
can be set by means of a button actuated switching device. The invention
is that (read the ruler through each keystroke in the line direction
and is only moved down by the line distance at the end of the line. Through this
it is achieved that every position in the course of the line to be written is displayed.
veranschaulicht.
In the drawing, Atb. i the manuscript holder in plan view, while fig. 2 shows the arrangement of the switch button next to the typewriter keyboard. In fig carries, while the right end has a pin D. In the toothing of the ruler c engages a rotatable about e! is carried out by a pawl g, which is attached to the lever Ic, which can be rotated about e, the right end of the He'-arm carrying the Bowden cable; The other end of the Bowden cable is attached in a corresponding manner to the dictation button (Fig. 2). By pressing the dictation button (the right end of the lever is pulled down from h, while the left end goes up with the pawl g and turns the wheel in the direction of the arrow. After releasing the dictation button, hold t the pawl k secures the wheel, while the lever h returns to its initial position. If this game is repeated enough often, the stop l connected to the wheel finally gets so far that by pressing against the arm nl of the pawl k it lifts this out of the toothing and fixes the locking lugs behind the lug o of the locking lever p. If the pawl g now goes back, the wheel f will also turn back, since the pawl k has been disengaged. When the pawl g drops, it rests against the stop q and is disengaged from the wheel f by this. The wheel, which is no longer fully held by the pawls, rotates back under the action of a spring (not shown) until the stop l reaches the position 1 'shown in dotted lines. Here, by pressing the lever p, he brings the nose ia out of the lock behind o and thereby the pawl k again engages the wheel. Now the game can start again, (1.1i. The wheel is gradually moved by hitting the Turned the dictation key and thus (read the ruler in the direction of the feathered arrow in front of the dictation booklet. At the end of the movement, the pawls are released and the wheel snaps back; with the wheel the ruler also goes back in the direction of the tinged arrow. So now (read When the ruler is brought to the next line of the dictation, the whole mechanism is arranged on a double toothed rack r. The locking bar: el s swings around t and is held in the position shown by a vain spring. However, as soon as the ruler r is in its end position to the right is reached, the stop ir connected to the ruler moves the locking lever s to the right: it releases the engagement with the left rack r and comes into engagement finitely with the right one Pay bar whose teeth are offset from the other side. When the ruler goes back, the locking lever goes to the left and lies in the next gap in the rack on the left. With this the whole 'mechanism is switched on by one line, because it slides downwards due to its gravity.
