Method and device for operating steam turbines with high
Overheating. It is known that the efficiency of a steam engine or turbine system
the higher the initial pressure and temperature, the cheaper it is. While
there are no difficulties with regard to pressure, it is not possible to use steam
to process any level of overheating in the machines (turbines). Above all
it is the shut-off and regulating organs, in the second place the nozzles and wheels

high temperatures (about q.00 ° and above) fail.
The door idne is always at risk when the steam overheats
when the steam inlet is throttled at low loads, the expansion ratio
in the first stage is reduced as a result of this and also as a result of the throttling
and the lower steam consumption increases the overheating.
The present invention now aims to take advantage of high superheat

Is to be placed near the turbine, simple pipes lead to the nozzles in which the
Steam expands down to the highest temperature allowed for the wheel. In the chamber
of the first wheel then data conditions prevail as in previous steam turbine practice
were only used at the inlet valve or before the first group of nozzles. Wheel, blading,
Nozzles and housing of this first stage are completely adapted to the high temperatures
and are based on gas turbine models in their design.
The high superheater is advantageously to heat with 01 or gas, the fuel nozzles are provided with the regulator of the steam turbine in combination. The amount of steam is regulated in the usual way, partly by throttling and partly by additional valves. The superheater can accordingly consist of several pipe groups connected to each additional valve, which are heated separately. After switching off a steam group, the fuel nozzle of the associated superheater tube group is also throttled or shut off. The steam that is supplied from the boilers to the superheater is high voltage and of normal superheating. If necessary, saturated steam can also be supplied and the entire superheating can take place in the high superheater. After the highest temperatures of the steam path have to be developed in this and the greatest possible temperature gradient is desired to reduce the surface, the laying of the high superheater out of the boiler wall and its own furnace proves to be expedient. The still hot exhaust gases are fed through heat-insulated ducts to the boiler. If the steam turbine is equipped with an oil pressure control, the relocation of the regulating organs at a greater distance from the turbine does not present any difficulties. The superheated steam turbine can be designed as an independent turbine or assembled with the other stages.

schematisch dargestellt.

In the drawing, a device for performing the method is shown schematically. It is a normal turbine with several stages and equipped with a superheated steam pre-stage b, c the high superheater. Simple pipes lead from it to the nozzles d. The steam passes from the boilers, slightly superheated or saturated, to the shut-off valve e and into the control housing f, in which the main throttle valve and, if required, several additional valves are housed, and from here through the superheater pipes to the turbine. The nozzle g serves to introduce the fuel (e.g. the oil); these, like the throttle valve f, are actuated here by oil pressure control from the turbine a. Linkage could also be used in place of the oil pressure control.
