Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Beseitigen des Koppens der Pferde
und anderer Zugtiere. Gegenüber den bereits bekannten Vorrichtungen gleicher Art hat
der Erfindungsgegenstand den Vorteil, daß er im wesentlichen aus einem Stück gestanzt
werden kann. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem an der Gebißstange aufgehängten, spatenförmigen Flügel mit Luftkanälen.

Die \orrichtung besteht aus dem spatenförmigen Flügel a, welcher an seinem breiten
Ende zu einer Schlaufe b zum Aufhängen und die Gebißstange c umgebogen ist. Die genannte
Schlaufe b besitzt die Löcher d und e, von denen das Loch e durch die aus dem
Flügel α ausgestanzte und zurückgebogene Zunge/ abgedeckt wird. In letzterer ist das
Loch g vorgesehen, um ein leichtes Reinigen der Schlaufe b und Zunge / zu ermöglichen.
Unterhalb von der durch das Ausstanzen der Zunge / im Flügel α gebildeten öffnung h ist
auf dem Flügel α ein röhrenartiger Luftkanal i
mit Luftlöchern k befestigt.
Zum Gebrauch wird die Vorrichtung mit der Gebißstange c in das Maul des Tieres eingeführt
und mit den Zügeln usw. in üblicher Weise verbunden. Hierbei legt sich der spatenförmige Flügel α auf Zunge und Lippen
des Tieres, so daß dieses das Maul nicht fest schließen kann. Es kann somit das Tier nicht
mehr wie bisher mit der Zunge an allen nur erreichbaren Gegenständen lecken und auch
nicht mehr mit den Lippen schlagen. Gleichzeitig wird das Tier gezwungen, die Atmung
ordnungsgemäß durchzuführen, wobei die Luft durch den Luftkanal i und die Löcher k
sowie durch die Schlaufe b und die Löcher d und e in das Maul eintritt. Auf denselben
Wegen tritt auch die verbrauchte Luft wieder aus, und da das Tier den Luftaustritt nicht
absperren kann, ist ihm die Möglichkeit zum Koppen genommen. Die Stärke des Luftkanals
i verhindert ein Zusammendrücken und Absperren desselben, wodurch sich das Tier
