Samenkapsel. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 16. November 1920 ab. Seed pod. Patented in the German Empire on November 16, 1920.
Juli 1920 beansprucht.According to the Union Treaty of June 2, 1911, priority is due to this application of the registration in Austria, dated July 13, 1920.
The present invention has for its object to provide a seed capsule which In spite of great body strength, the seed sprouts safely and develops quickly of the young plant. According to the invention, this is achieved in that in a peculiar cell is provided to a molded body solid that forms the capsule which is able to hold the seed in place without the same harmful stresses suspend.

α is a capsule and b is a seed of any seed. The capsule α bestehl; from a solid molding of any shape. In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the capsule is designed as a body of revolution of almost spherical shape. This body of revolution consists of two spherical sections 1, 2, the ao by a protruding spherical zone 3 with? are united to one another. All substances that soften or dissolve in the ground, with or without the addition of fertilizing substances, can be used as building materials for the capsule, which can be made formable and made solid by pressing. A mixture of peat waste with Thomas slag, saltpeter and the like has proven to be particularly useful. A cell 4 is provided in the capsule, which is designed in such a way that the seed b can be retained in the cell without harmful stress, in particular pressure effects, crushing and the like. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the cell consists of a channel which partially penetrates the molding. The receiving channel for the seed lies in the axis χ, χ of the rotation body. The channel has a clear width that gradually decreases from its mouth 4 'towards the sole 4 "; the walls of the channel can be smooth, corrugated or profiled. In the area of the channel 4, means 5 (Fig. 3) for These means can be designed in the most varied of ways and also consist of holding devices arranged separately from the seed capsule. The embodiment of the seed capsule according to FIG .
The production of seed pods of the type described above can take place in the most varied of ways. For example, in that hollow moldings of the type illustrated in FIG. 2 are first pressed on presses. The seed b is then placed in the channel 4 of the molding and, if necessary, is fixed by gently pressing it onto the tip of the spherical section 1 in the receiving channel. If the shape of the receiving cell is properly adapted to the shape of the seed, the seed will hold in the cell by friction, without the provision of special retaining devices. The seeds stored in open cells are exposed to all influences (air, moisture, etc.) that promote their ability to germinate during laying and, despite the body-tight encapsulation in the capsule, stored in such a way that they cannot be exposed to harmful stresses either during production or during sowing .
