The essence of the safety contacts is through interruption or closure
electrical circuits using known auxiliary devices electrical alarm apparatus
trigger. The so-called thread contacts are a special type of these safety contacts. At the thread contact
a spring is provided for the open-circuit and closed-circuit currents between an open-circuit contact
and a closed-circuit contact. In the standby position, the closed-circuit contact is permanently closed
Organ which causes the permanent pressure of the spring on the closed-circuit contact is
a taut, tearable thread. The operating current contact is in this position
open minded. If a slight pull is exerted on the thread, it is known that nothing changes
at the contact position; only when the thread breaks under increased tension does the
Spring free, leaves the normally closed contact and closes the normally open contact. Both
Processes, the interruption of one contact and the termination of the other, solve each one
off the alarm on its own. It can now happen that an unauthorized person denies the
notices the slight pull he has been exercising on the thread and then avoids it; Consequently
there is no alarm and the whole facility is useless.
The new safety contact avoids the aforementioned deficiency in that the break of the closed-circuit current contact takes place not only when the thread breaks, but also when the thread is lightly pulled and the thread is undamaged, as can be seen from the following description. In the drawing, P is the spring connected with the apparatus A, the operating current contact, R-current contact of rest, a D Durchbiegeböckchen, F is the eyelet, in which the pulling thread engages. The position according to Fig. 1 shows the contact in readiness, ie the thread engaging eyelet F pulls the spring P onto the closed-circuit contact R, the operating-current contact A is open. When the tension is increased, the spring P rests on the bending block D , bends as shown in Fig. 2 and leaves the closed-circuit contact R, interrupting it. This interruption triggers the alarm device without the operating current contact A being closed. The readiness position of the safety contact has therefore changed into the working position without damaging the thread.
