Description
Process for drying moist fuel grease. At that time known method for drying moist fuels, e.g. B. in the briquette industry, drying usually takes place at low temperatures. In this procedure However, the shortcoming sticks that the drying is slow and therefore with larger throughputs requires expensive equipment. The invention seeks this To remedy the deficiency by dividing the drying process into two sections, in which very high degrees of warmth are used in the first. Instead of the whole amount of fuel in one; To dry the process down to about 15 percent is according to the invention in the first section only part of the fuel is exposed to heat, but so strong that it is not only completely dried, but also whole or is partially degassed. The gas obtained in this way delivers, if possible only the amount of heat required to carry out the entire process. In the second Section will; the rest of the raw fuel with the help of the inherent heat of the first Section of falling coke dried by removing the hot coke and the rest of the fresh Fuel in a mixer with exclusion of air in a ratio to each other which depends on the desired moisture content of the final mixture.
Although according to the invention the fuel was partly not dried alone, but is also degassed, the result of the process is the same as with other drying processes, namely the production of a fuel of less Humidity.
The mixture can be burned immediately or used for briquetting will. In the latter case, the mixer is equipped with a device for crushing of the mixture.
To improve the heat efficiency of the process and the throughput rate can also be increased in the second section, in addition to the heat stored in the coke the sensible heat of the gas obtained in the first section or its waste heat after its use for degassing and finally: also other, non-flammable name is Gases used in the drying of the fresh fuel will. The use of non-flammable gases in the mixer also offers the Advantage that it can serve as a fire extinguishing agent in the event that air leaks through Place or with the raw fuel should penetrate into the mixer.
Two embodiments of the invention are shown schematically in the drawing illustrated.
Fig. R shows the application of the method in conjunction with a Rotary drum and Fig. 2 in connection with a semi-coke generator as an E: ntgaser.
In Fig. R, a is the degasser, which is intended here as an externally heated rotating drum of a known type. The moist fuel intended for the first process enters the drum at b and! loads them at e as coke with a high degree of heat. At d, the carbonization gas is withdrawn, which is used to heat the drum. The coke falls through the tube into the protruding part f of the drying and mixing drum g, which is also rotatable, and merges here with the remainder of the fresh fuel introduced at h. To support the drying effect of the coke, the exhaust gases from the degassing drum a- are also introduced into the drum g through the pipe i. At L the gases saturated with moisture are drawn off. The finished mixture of degassed and dried fuel is removed from the drum g at k through a double flow. In Fig. 2 the gasification and carbonization of one part of the raw fuel takes place in a semi-coke generator. It takes place here by means of hot gases that are introduced into the generator at ir and act directly on the fuel. The gases are then withdrawn from your generator through the pipe o, taking along the carbonization gas produced. The amount of coke that slides through the connecting line p between the generator m and the dryer g is regulated by means of slide q. At the same time as the hot coke, the remainder of the fresh fuel enters the drum g at r. To support the drying effect of the coke, the mixed gas removed by o can be fed into the drum in this case. The completely dried mixture comes out of the drum at s, while the gas is diverted with the fuel moisture at t. The mixing drum g can be kept in negative pressure. The mixer can also be designed in other ways, e.g. B. as a stationary cylinder with devices for forward movement, agitation and comminution of the mass inside.
The procedure can be carried out at any smoldering work that uses moist, fuel works and produces enough hot coke.
Can also be used to support the drying effect in the second section foreign, non-flammable gas that contains sufficient waste heat can be used.
The characteristics of the new procedure should be summarized as follows: that the coke produced in the first stage of the process was completely dry and great inherent heat as a desiccant and absorbent for those in the second section added fuel moisture serves, an effect that is further enhanced by a similar one Utilization of foreign gas waste heat is increased, with the gas at the same time as an extinguishing agent is used when the fuel mixture spontaneously ignites.
