Abstract

Adsorbent forpurifying flue gases from combustion plants, esp. for reducing their SO2 and/or NOx content, consists of the unburnt constituents (I) of the ash from the coal burnt in the plant. The adsorbent is wet and/or boiler ash; or dry ash from the first, middle or last electrofilters; or ash from the empty flues. It is enriched to a (I) content of 20-100%. (I) have various grain fractions (a) 0.1-20 mm and/or (b) 0.1-1mm and/or (c) 1-10mm and/or (d) 10-20mm. USE/ADVANTAGE - This adsorbent is claimed for use in waste gas filters, pref. of nuclear power stations. The ash has a relatively large surface area and at least as good adsorption properties as usual, esp. blast furnace coke. It contains no CaO and hence can be utilised more than blast furnace coke, which contains 50-60 wt.% CaO.

Description

The invention relates to an adsorbent for cleaning the flue gases from combustion plants, in particular for reducing the SO₂ and / or NO x content thereof.

It is known in reactors behind incinerators as adsorption masses for exhaust gas cleaning activated carbon or To use activated coke. The manufacture of this adsorp tion masses proves to be comparatively agile, quite apart from the fact that activated coke (hearth furnace coke) contains calcium oxide, which affects the effectiveness of the Coke reduced due to the formation of gypsum.

The Erfin is based on this state of the art tion based on the task of an adsorption mass to create the kind mentioned above, which not only has a high cleaning effect, but can also be produced in a simple and inexpensive manner.

According to the invention this is achieved in that the Adsorption mass from unburned components of the Ashes of the coal burned in the incinerators  fuel exists. In the ashes of coal or lignite-fired combustion boilers coke-shaped ash residue, which is the landfill make the ashes considerably more difficult. By the fiction The proposal is to use the unburned be parts of the ashes from coal incineration plants possible Lich, so that ge related landfill problems be solved and also a highly effective ad sorbenz is created with which the desired Rei cleaning effect of the exhaust gases is achieved. It has over surprisingly shown that the unburned components of the Ashes have comparatively large surfaces, which lead to at least the same adsorption properties as previously used, especially to produce de Oven coke. In addition, the unburned Be parts of the ashes no calcium oxide contents, so that a higher degree of utilization compared to hearth furnace coke can be achieved which contains approx. 50-60% by weight CaO.

Verwendung finden. Wet and / or kes can advantageously be used as the adsorption mass ashes, the dry ashes of the front and / or middle and / or after-cleaning of electrostatic filters of the incineration plant gen, the unburned components of the ashes from the void trains or the like Find use.

According to a further feature of the invention, the unburned constituents of the ashes to 20-100% enriches what through wind sifting, flotation, sieving, etc. can be done.

Weiterhin können die unverbrannten Bestandteile der Aschen aus verschiedenen Kornfraktionen, vorzugsweiseFurthermore, the unburned components of the Ashes from different grain fractions, preferably

  • a) von 0,1-20 mm und/odera) from 0.1-20 mm and / or
  • b) von 0,1-1 mm und/oderb) from 0.1-1 mm and / or
  • c) von 1-10 mm und/oderc) from 1-10 mm and / or
  • d) von 10-20 mm aus Naß- und/oder Trockenasched) from 10-20 mm from wet and / or dry ash

bestehen, um eine höchstmögliche Aufnahme der schäd lichen Anteile der Abgase zu erreichen.insist on the highest possible absorption of the damage to achieve proportions of exhaust gases.

The adsorption composition according to the invention is also suitable for use in exhaust air filters, preferably in the core technical area, of nuclear power plants, instead of Activated carbon used here so far.

The adsorbent mass according to the invention causes a cleaning of the exhaust gases from combustion plants of SO₂, NO x , halides and odor-causing substances.

Since the adsorption mass is a waste product, but at least the same properties as  contains the substances previously used for this purpose, represents the adsorption mass according to the invention except neatly cheap solution for exhaust gas purification.
