Das Hauptpatent betrifft ein Verfahren zur Verbindung von Acetylen und Chlor, das sich dadurch kennzeichnet, daß die Gase ohne Vorschaltung eines festen Verdünnungsmittels oder Anwendung einer Flüssigkeit durch einen aus kleinstücki.gem Metall bestehenden Katalysator geführt werden, wobei zunächst das Metall durch Chlor oberflächlich in Chlorid verwandelt werden kann. Es hat sich nun gezeigt, daß sich Metalloxyde, insbesondere Eisenoxyde, noch besser zu; Katalysatoren eignen. -Eisenverbindungen, namentlich Eisenoxyde, sind' an sich bekannte Ohlorierungskatalysatoren (vgl. die Patentschrift r74o68, Seite i, Zeile 49, und S a bi a t i e r , Dde Katalyse ;in der organischen Chemie 1914, Seite 32. Absatz 2 .und 6). Nach der Erfindung werden sie unter den Bedingungen des Hauptpatents, d. h. in kleinstöckiger Form und, ohne Vorsehaltungeines festem Verdünnungsmittels oder Anwendung einer Flüssigkeit an Stelle der Metalle, und zwar mit Vorteil benutzt.Process for the preparation of addition compounds from acetylene and Chlorine.
