Description
The invention relates to a new method of manufacture primary aminosiloxanes and to those following this procedure produced aminosiloxanes.
Siloxanes, in which primary amino groups have a carbon chain bound to silicon have been around for a long time Time known, and the same applies to the different Process for their production. One of these manufacturing processes consists in the implementation of aminosilanes with hydroxy-functional Siloxanes in the presence of a condensation catalyst. Another method used by Greber and Macromol hunters. Chem. 1962, 57, page 150 is described, consists of reacting a ketimine with an organohydrogensiloxane in the presence of a platinum-containing catalyst and in a subsequent hydrolysis of the obtained Reaction product in an aminosiloxane.
The preparation of aminosiloxanes after the first described above The process requires the prior formation of aminosilanes. This is a well-known one Procedure, but this is not always easy to do or to control. Furthermore, this method is preferred halogen silanes are also used, which are corrosive and therefore cause certain handling problems. The second Process describes the implementation of benzylidene allylamine, that is formed by reacting benzaldehyde with allylamine with a number of organohydrogensiloxanes, such as tetramethyldisiloxane, Hexamethyltrisiloxane and octamethyltetrasiloxane. Those obtained from this hydrosilylation reaction Siloxanes are then hydrolyzed under strongly acidic conditions, which creates the corresponding aminosiloxanes. Here, however, it has been shown that the hydrolysis of the reaction product the hydrosilylation reaction only to a small extent Yield of aminosiloxanes leads and that, possibly as a result the strong hydrolysis conditions, the aminosiloxanes obtained are mainly limited to disiloxanes, and this regardless of the organohydrogensiloxanes examined in each case, which as starting materials for the hydrosilylation reactions be used. Will hexamethyltrisiloxane used as a reagent, then you get apart from a minor Yield of disiloxanes an even lower yield Trisiloxanes. This method therefore has serious disadvantages. Once there is only a low yield of the end product and on the other hand, only enables the production of short-chain aminosiloxanes as the end product.
The object of the invention is now to create a method to produce aminosiloxanes that have no previous formation of aminosilanes and that at a high yield leads to aminosiloxanes, the chain length of which extends over a can control and change a wide range.
It has now been found that this problem is solved leaves that for the reaction with organohydrogensiloxanes selects certain ketimines in a hydrosilylation reaction and the hydrolysis reaction in the presence of a certain type of catalyst performs, which results in a wide range Produce aminosiloxanes in a significantly improved yield leaves.
The above object is accordingly achieved by the invention a method for producing an aminosiloxane by (A) reaction of an organohydrogensiloxane with a ketimine in Presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst and (B) hydrolysis of the reaction product of (A), which is characterized is that the organohydrogensiloxane is at least one silicon-bonded Has hydrogen atom and its organic Substituents from alkyl groups and aryl groups with 1 to 8 carbon atoms are selected, at least 50% of the organic substituents are methyl groups, and the ketimine has the general formula R-N = C (R ′) R ″, in which R is for a monovalent unsaturated aliphatic group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms stands, R 'and R ″ independently of one another monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group with 1 to 4 Carbon atoms or R ′ and R ″ together represent a cycloalkyl group represent, and that the hydrolysis (B) in the presence an acidic supported catalyst.
Diese Organowasserstoffsiloxane können cyclische Siloxane der mittleren Formel:The organohydrogensiloxanes, which are in stage (A) of Let use the method of the invention, and to their Manufacturing suitable processes are in organosilicon chemistry well known. These Organohydrogensiloxanes can cyclic siloxanes of the middle formula:

In step (A) of the process according to the invention, ketimines of the general formula RN = C (R ′) R ″ are used, in which R is an unsaturated monovalent aliphatic group, for example an alkenyl group or an alkynyl group, such as vinyl, allyl, methallyl or propargyl, and R ′ and R ″ each independently represent saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon groups, such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, isobutyl or butenyl, or where R ′ and R ″ taken together are, for example, cyclohexyl. Such ketimines can be prepared by known processes, for example by using a ketone of the general formula O = C (R ′) R ″ with an unsaturated amine of the general formula R-NH 2 , where R, R ′ and R ″ are as defined above , implements. Examples of ketones that can be used in this reaction are dimethyl ketone, methyl ethyl ketone and diethyl ketone. Examples of unsaturated amines that can be used in this reaction are allylamine and methallylamine. The preferred ketimine is N-2- (butylidene) methallylamine.
Die Hydrosilylierungsreaktion läuft formelmäßig wie folgt ab:The reaction (A), which is a hydrosilylation reaction, can be carried out at elevated temperatures, for example at 90 to 150 ° C., preferably at 110 to 130 ° C., in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. Such catalysts are known in the art and are preferably based on a compound of platinum or rhodium or a complex of such compounds. These include chloroplatinic acid, platinum acetylacetonate, complexes of platinum (II) halides and unsaturated compounds such as ethylene, propylene, organovinylsiloxanes and styrene, hexamethyldiplatin, PtCl 2 · PtCl 3 and Pt (CN) 3 . The preferred platinum catalysts are complexes of platinum compounds and vinylsiloxanes, as are formed, for example, by reacting chloroplatinic acid with divinyltetramethyldisiloxane. The amount of platinum used should be sufficient for an effective hydrosilylation reaction. The preferred amount of platinum catalyst in reaction (A) is said to give about 1 to about 40 parts by weight of platinum per million parts of the total weight of the organohydrogensiloxane and the ketimine. The formula for the hydrosilylation reaction is as follows:
Here R * means a divalent aliphatic group with 2 up to 4 carbon atoms, which have an olefinic unsaturation may have, while R ′ and R ″ as defined above are.
It has been shown that the resultant at stage (A) Product yield is dependent on that for the formation of the ketimine type of ketone and unsaturated amine used. These factors also appear to affect the type of reaction product. It has been shown that ketimines where R is something else as one Methallyl group is a hydrosilylation product result, which is a mixture of siloxanes, the result from α and β addition of the ketimines. N-2- (butylidene) methallylamine leads only by an α addition to the siloxane and is preferred in the process according to the invention used. This preferred ketimine can be the addition product in an amount of up to 83% of theory.
The hydrosilylation reaction (A) can be carried out in the presence of a solvent be carried out, which is an aliphatic or aromatic solvent or a mixture such solvents can act, and examples of such Solvents are toluene or isopropyl alcohol. The solvent can be distilled off at the end of the hydrosilylation reaction (A) or leave it in the reaction mixture first be removed after the hydrolysis reaction (B).
Formelmäßig läuft die Hydrolysereaktion (B) wie folgt ab:The hydrolysis reaction (B) is carried out in the presence of water and a acidic supported catalyst performed. After that of Greber and hunters in Macromol. Chem. 1962, 57, page 150 The process uses concentrated HCl as a catalyst. It doesn't get any side effects anywhere reported by this catalyst, but this catalyst is likely be the cause of that large in the reaction product Amounts of disiloxanes are present. In the hydrolysis reaction (B) of the process according to the invention are used as catalysts however, acidic supported catalysts are used in which the carrier is, for example, clay. By using such Amino siloxanes can be catalysts in good yield produce. The acid present in the supported catalyst can be any Acid, which is used for the polymerization of siloxanes is suitable, such as a Lewis acid. Located HCl is on the support, this leads to a high yield in the hydrolysis reaction (B), and hydrochloric acid on clay as a carrier is therefore in the invention Process preferred catalyst. It seems here too no cleavage of the siloxane chain to come, so that the obtained Aminosiloxane practically the same siloxane chain length has like the organohydrogensiloxane used in reaction (A). The hydrolysis reaction (B) runs according to the formula as follows:
Here R *, R ′ and R ″ are as defined above. Preferably the acid carrier catalyst is a catalyst from an acid and clay as a carrier. Another advantage the use of an acidic supported catalyst in that this is easily removed by filtration from Can separate reaction mixture. The hydrolysis reaction (B) can be done under reduced pressure. Hereby a continuous removal of the ketone is ensured, which is released during the hydrolysis. Will this Removal performed to a sufficient extent, then is thereby at the same time for a complete hydrolysis reaction worried. The hydrolysis reaction (B) can be carried out in the presence an aromatic or aliphatic solvent be the same or different from the solvent which may be present during the reaction (A) is.
The invention is further elucidated in the following on the basis of examples described. All information contained therein in parts and percentages are by weight unless otherwise stated is.
I hervorgeht).1 mole of a ketone (as shown in Table I) and 1 mole of an amine (as shown in Table I) are mixed together at room temperature. A small amount (two to three drops) of concentrated HCl is added to the mixture. The mixture is then left to stand overnight. The mixture is then neutralized with excess KOH, whereupon the organic layer is separated and refluxed for 2 to 3 hours in the presence of an acidic clay to remove water through a bed of CaSO 4 . The clay is then separated from the mixture by filtration and the mixture is distilled under a vacuum of approximately 80 mbar, giving approximately 80% yield of the theoretical amount of a ketimine (as shown in Table I).
Im Falle des Beispiels 4 kam es auch zu einer α-Addition an der Hexenylgruppe.52 μl of a 10% strength solution of chloroplatinic acid in isopropyl alcohol, a ketimine and heptamethyltrisiloxane prepared as above are added dropwise to 50 ml of toluene at 110 ° C. In the case of Example 1, 0.1 mol of ketimine and siloxane are used. In example 2, 0.6 moles each are used. In Example 3, 0.44 mol of each is used. In Example 4, 0.5 mol of each is used. After the addition has ended, the temperature is kept at 100 to 120 ° C. for a further 2 hours, whereupon analysis by gas-liquid chromatography shows that the reaction has ended and the conversion is almost 100%. The reaction mixture is therefore allowed to cool. The product is then distilled under a vacuum of about 1.3 to 4 × 10 -2 mbar in the case of Examples 1 and 3 at 60 to 64 ° C and in the case of Example 2 at 70 to 73 ° C, while in the case Example 4 only removes the solvent, whereby the respective ketiminesiloxane is obtained in a yield as shown in Table II below. The products obtained were analyzed according to the circumstances by gas-liquid chromatography, GCMS, NMR and IR. Apart from the reaction described in Example 3, in which there was only one α addition, both the α and the β addition to the allyl bond occurred in all other reactions. In the case of Example 4, there was also an α addition to the hexenyl group.
The product obtained in the above manner is mixed with 10 ml Toluene, 10 ml of water and 0.2 g of an acidic clay. The mixture is heated to boiling under atmospheric pressure and then 2 distilled between 80 and 86 ° C for up to 3 hours. After that leave no decomposition products by gas-liquid chromatography not even the β-isomer, if there is one. An IR analysis shows complete disappearance of the bond C = N. The organic Layer is separated and filtered to remove the acid clay Remove mixture. Then the solvent is added distilled off reduced pressure, which in the case of N- 2- (butylidene) methallylamins only the α-isomer and in in the other cases receives a mixture of the α and β isomers, as shown in Table III below.
Nach Hydrolyse unter Anwendung des in den Beispielen 1 bis 4 beschriebenen Verfahrens erhält man ein Gemisch aus drei primären Diaminosiloxanen.0.075 mol of the ketimine prepared according to Example 1 is used (see Table I) with 0.034 mol of tetramethyldisiloxane under the conditions as described in Examples 1 to 3 have been described, except that the Level of heating is increased to 3 hours and distillation is carried out at 110 to 115 ° C. This gives you as a product a disiloxane in a yield of 87%, in which a ketimine group is attached to each silicon atom. The ratio of β, β addition to α, β addition to α, α addition is 9: 46: 45. After hydrolysis using the in the method described in Examples 1 to 4 is obtained Mixture of three primary diamino siloxanes.
Man setzt 0,02 Mol des gemäß Beispiel 1 hergestellten Ketimins (siehe Tabelle I) mit 0,2 Mol eines Organopolysiloxans der Formel0.02 mol of the ketimine prepared according to Example 1 is used (see Table I) with 0.2 mol of an organopolysiloxane formula
(Me)3SiO[Si(Me)2O]95[SiH(Me)O]5Si(Me)3 (Me) 3 SiO [Si (Me) 2 O] 95 [SiH (Me) O] 5 Si (Me) 3
unter den im Beispiel 5 beschriebenen Bedingungen um. Anstelle der Destillation führt man eine Entfernung des Lösungsmittels bei 100°C unter verringertem Druck während 3 Stunden durch.under the conditions described in Example 5. Instead of the distillation is followed by removal of the solvent at 100 ° C under reduced pressure for 3 hours.
Durch IR-Analyse ergibt sich eine 98%-ige Ausbeute eines Produkts, bei welchem alle Gruppen SiH mit dem Ketimin des Beispiels 1 umgesetzt sind.IR analysis shows a 98% yield of a product in which all groups SiH with the ketimine of Example 1 are implemented.
