Die -Erfindung bezieht .sich auf einen Füllschachtkes,sel mit unterem Albbrand für gasreiche Brennstoffe unid Vorwärmkammern für die Oberluft, bei dem die Vorwärmkamm-ern durch die Kesselwand des Füllschachtes und die Außenwand eines mit seitlichen Schlitzen versehenen, auswechselbaren Einsatzes gebildet werden. Durch diese Anordnung wird,es .ermöglicht, heiße Verbrennungsgase durch den ,ganzen Brennstoffstapel hindurchzugawgen, wodurch nicht nur durch die Wärmezufuhr von unten, sondern vor allem auch durch die zugeführte heiße Verbrennungsluft durch den Brennstoffstapel hindurch die Entgasung befördert wird. Die heißen mit Luft gemischten Schwelgase gelangen dann auf dem küxizesten Wege, noch ehe eine Abscheidung von Wasser oder Teerproidukten möglich ist, in die Verbrennungszone. Wagen des Ausschlusses jeder Ausscheidung und wegen der Zufuhr heißer Verbrennunigstluft wird von vornherein eine hohe Heizleistung gesichert. Durch diese Einrichtung wird die Verswendung ,gasreicher Brennstoffe in Füllschachtkesseln ermöglicht.
